Blog Tour for Love In The City Series by Steph Nuss

Book One - Wanted By You

Carter was captivated by Ellyson Evans the moment he laid eyes on her,
but she was the one girl who didn't beg for his attention.
He wanted her.
Ellyson vowed to never fall in love, because love can destroy you,
but then she met Carter Jennings.
She wanted him.
Unwilling to risk their comfortable friendship, neither confessed their desires.
Losing touch after college, a chance meeting reconnects them.
They want each other.
But love in the city is never quite that easy.

Review by Gia:
Wanted By You is a good quick read. It hooked me right from the beginning. We start out in 2004 when Carter meets Ellyson, then we come to present time. In the present Carter and Ellyson have let life push them apart. You know at some point they are going to ran into each other again, which kept me interested in reading because I wanted to see them reunite. When they reunite, they no longer want to be friends but they both want more. I was happy to see their relationship was going good until I look ed at how far i was in the book. I was less than 50% through the book and everything seemed good, that's when you know you are in for some sort of big twist. I loved the twist that was through into this book because it was not the typically twist. I won't tell you what the twist is but it's heart wrenching.
We get background on Carter and Ellyson, through flashbacks here and there. I feel like I was missing some part of the friendships with their friends. I loved their group of friends and wished we got more background on them.
There is no cliffhanger. Wanted By You is a nice sweet story.

REVIEW
Review by Gia:
I loved Fantasized By You. It's book two in the Love in the City Series. The first book is Wanted By You is also great. You don't have to read Love in the City, to love Fantasized By You. If you have time I would recommend you read it first though because Elly and Carter from book one are also in book two. Elly is good friends with Maverick and Harper is Carter's sister. Fantasized By You is Harper and Maverick's story.
Harper is a fashion designer, who has battled bulimia. Maverick is a gym owner who has just opened a health clinic. Maverick and Harper have both lost the same friend to bulimia but haven't met until Harper wants to mentor at Maverick's clinic.
I loved Maverick's character. Even when he was being a jerk, I still liked him. Harper is a strong character, her story in very believable. Harper has a good friend Max. Max has a crazy fan that doesn't like Harper.
Steph Nuss did a great job writing in the parts about eating disorders. I loved how anorexia and bulimia were not glamorized but instead we got look at the seriously side of them.
It's a great story. Even though it's Maverick and Harper's story, we still get updates on Elly and Carter and hints on the next story to come.
