Jasper stopped, turned toward me, dragged his eyes down my front then yanked off his black t-shirt and tossed it to me.

I quickly put it on over top and it hung down to my mid-thigh. The scent of him drew into my lungs and I inhaled deeply with my chin down until I heard his distinct chuckle. Then I wanted to shoot myself in the foot.
Jasper’s hand came around the back of my neck and he jerked me toward him. He cupped my chin with his blade still in his hand so the handle was cold against my jaw. Then he leaned in and before I could take my next breath, his mouth was on mine.

Take is a good read. Nashoda Rose is one of the author that I one click whenever she pushes publish. That being said, I did not have any idea what Take was about when I started reading it. Take is a paranormal romance which is different then the type of genre that I'm used to reading from Nashoda. No worries though, Nashoda can write a good paranormal story.
It took me a little bit to figure out the paranormal world that Max lives in. Max is a healer but she has some secrets. She was rescued by Xamien and has been staying with him since then. We don't get a whole lot of Xamien but we get enough to know he is a decent guy. I hope he gets a book of his own.
In Take Max spends a lot of time with Jasper. Jasper is an assassin. He is suppose to be protecting Max from someone who is trying to find her. Jasper is not always nice. There is a lot of sexual tension between Jasper and Max. Jasper has some deep secrets of his own. I was definitely surprised at some of Jasper's secrets.
Take is well worth reading.
