Author bio:
Hello~ (waves)
I didn't begin writing until after undergraduate college. There'd been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

Interview with Tijan:
1) Can you tell us a little about your book?

Taryn had a hard life growing up. Foster kid. Her friends are criminals. She's never been around one of 'those' kinds of people, the kids who are blessed with real homes and real parents, until the day she's adopted and moves to the neighboring towns. She finds herself in one of 'those' families, and she tries to adjust. She grows to love her sister and brother, but then the secrets start coming out and she learns that there's more to her miraculous adoption than what she was led to believe. Taryn doesn't handle that well. She's a kick ass now, talk later type of girl and with that attitude, she uncovers a secret that should've been left hidden.

2) Do you have any “odd” writing habits??

I don't think so, but I've not really shared noted with other authors so maybe I do. :) My biggest thing is headphones, good music, and coffee nearby. Oh, and a fan if my office gets hot. Oh, I know a weird habit. I put earplugs in if its too loud downstairs. My fiance and dog can get loud when they wrestle.

3) How do you come up with your characters names?

Just pick a name that feels right for the character. Sometimes if I don't have a particular important character, but he/she needs a name I'll scan the room until something pops out. I've asked for help on my author page just so I don't pick the same name. That happens quite a bit.

Of your series which one is your favorite to write?

The Fallen Crest series is a favorite to write, but there's pressure too. Right now, I'm loving some ideas I have for new books.

Which of your characters would you like to meet in person and why?

For some reason, I feel that I would be friends with Cord and Hannah from the Broken and Screwed Series. I wouldn't be cool enough to meet the others from the rest of my series. lol
6) What's the last book you read?

Taming Alec, a novella by KA Robinson. It's not out, but will be by the time this comes out. It's great!
7) What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?

I have a weird love/hate relationship with having my books in my office. I love having extras in case I want to do a giveaway, but as soon as I have them, I get the urge to sell them and get them all out of my office. I know. It's very weird.

8) What’s your favorite summertime activity?
I really enjoy driving and not having snow and ice on the roads. That's my favorite summertime activity. (I live way up north.)

9) Are you doing any Author Signing Event this year?

Las Vegas, October 25
Capitol City in March 2015
Tulsa in May, 2015

What project are you working on now?

Review by Tabitha:

I just love a billionaire story!! Especially a billionaire story with a baby story. This book was so good. I love Abigail and the oh so handsome Liam. This is a short, but very delightful read. I can't wait to read more from this author. Her writing is very good. I loved the story and loved the characters. It is a very light read and one that will just make you feel good. No head spinning, try to figure out who did what or who didn't. It is just a really sweet read. I read it in one sitting. I wish it was a tad longer but other than that great job Ms. Starke!! This was a 4.75 stars for me!!

A copy was gifted in exchange for an honest review.

Olivia Starke calls the Ozarks home. One of the most beautiful areas in the country, she loves hiking trails with her dogs, kayaking on the numerous waterways, and enjoying southern Missouri's fresh air and sunshine.

She's also 'Mom' to four dogs, a growing number of kitties that show up at her door, and four VERY spoiled horses that do little to earn their keep. Not that she'd ever hold that against them.

She's a HUGE fangirl of Doctor Who and to a lesser extent Supernatural, and has a pretty interesting love triangle (or square?) going on in her head between the Doctor and the Winchesters.

Blog Tour for Shy of Tomorrow by S.H. Pratt

Shy of Tomorrow by S.H. Pratt

Release date: July 15, 2014

Circumspect… Reserved… Shy…
To call Kylee Anne Davidovich any of those would be an understatement.  Bookish and quiet, the librarian was content to remain that way.  Bullied and tormented by vain and jealous sisters; misused and abused by the opposite sex, Kylee had found a warm haven in her job and her books.  Supported by her best friend, Marin, and surrounded by the books she loved, Kylee didn’t need more… Until Mr. Hunk.
Jeremy Campbell knew the devious side to women, knew how they hunted and trapped the men they preyed on.  Hiding scars from the woman who still haunted him, the semi-retired computer analyst, studiously avoided serious relationships and the most dangerous trap of all… love.
From the moment Jeremy saw Kylee working at the Timberland library, he knew she was different.  Roaming the shelves of romance books where he could watch the beautiful librarian, Jeremy tried to find a way into Kylee’s world.
Unsure of Jeremy’s intentions and unwilling to allow herself to be used again, Kylee struggled against her desire to believe that he was really interested in her.  After learning the true depth of her sisters’ pettiness, Kylee takes a chance with Jeremy, but in a moment of unguarded honesty, her faith in him is pushed to the breaking point.
Heartsick and broken, Kylee works to overcome her shattered dreams with Marin faithfully at her side.  Horrified and tormented by his past, Jeremy breaks the one promise that he swore to Kylee.  Can Jeremy put his ghosts to rest before he loses Kylee forever or will he always be one moment shy of tomorrow?

“Why don’t you ever look up?” The voice was low and deep and it washed over Kylee like a warm wave of melted chocolate. She gasped and slowly raised her eyes to meet his eyes, noticing as she did that those eyes were beautiful; a captivating color somewhere between blue and grey that made her think of the way the sky fell to the sea in a heavy storm. Kylee stood frozen, her mind blank, her fingers unsure of what their purpose was. “I know you have a voice, I’ve heard it, but never with me,” he spoke again and Kylee felt the heat rise higher in her cheeks. She opened her mouth to give some witty comeback, but her mind remained utterly and completely blank and useless. Kylee knew her eyes must have been the size of dinner plates and breathing was hit or miss at this point, making her feel light headed. “Have I offended you?” Mr. Hunk asked. Kylee snapped her mouth shut since her brain couldn’t see fit to give it words and shook her head. Somehow, Kylee’s hands remembered that they were supposed to be scanning books and resumed the task by rote, her eyes never leaving the stormy depths of his stunning eyes. “Are you afraid of me?” At this question, Kylee closed her eyes and lowered her head as tears threatened to overcome her. He was so gorgeous and he was talking to her and there were so many things she wanted to say, but none of those things occurred to her and now he thought she was afraid of him. Oh, how she hated being shy! “Are you?” he asked again. Kylee swallowed hard, blinking back the tears as she finished scanning the last book and placed them in the bag he’d put on the counter. Slowly, tremulously, Kylee raised her head and shook it again. To her amazement, a slow smile blossomed on his handsome, chiseled face and Kylee thought for sure that her heart was going to cease beating entirely. What she’d thought was stunning before had morphed into the epitome of perfection as he showed her straight, white teeth and two deeper than the Grand Canyon dimples. “So if you aren’t offended or afraid, may I assume that you are shy?” Mr. Hunk surmised. Kylee wanted to die, with his fabulous dimples burned into her brain, right then and there at the accuracy of his conclusion. Her mouth began trying to make words again, but as before, her mind refused to give any and he chuckled softly.
“You’re cute. Thank you for the books… until tomorrow.”

Review by Gia:
Shy of Tomorrow was a great read!!!  Kylee is a librarian that loves books.  She is shy and bookish.  Jeremy is cool and confident and oozes sexiest.  He is absolutely sweet, librarian, and just all around wonderful.   I was waiting for something really bad to come out about him.  There is something is Jeremey's past that he doesn't like to talk about.
I loved reading this story and seeing Jeremy how Jeremy got Kylee to come out of her shell.  The excerpt above is actually one of the favorite parts in the book.   I had that page bookmarked.  I loved how when Kylee gets tough tongue tied and doesn't know what to say, they refer to it as brain to mouth malfunction.
Shy of Tomorrow is a really sweet read!

Blog Tour for Without Hesitation by CJ Azevedo

At eleven years old, Macie James was certain she saw her prince standing in her kitchen with his rosy cheeks and cute smile. She was going to marry that boy, she had no doubt about it. As she became a teenager, it was that boy who taught her how to become a confident and sure woman. As the years went by and they grew up, he taught her how to love and to be loved.
Greyden Michaels was surprised when he fell for his best friend’s little sister. He wasn’t opposed to it and, even more surprising, neither was his best friend. When he was in college and her just in high school, he realized they were too young to be committed, he opted for friendship with her and together they decided their love was for the future.

When you hesitate, life happens. When life happens, your plans change. Macie wanted her fairy tale and Greyden was prepared to give it to her when unfortunate events changed his whole life, including his future with the UFC and, most devastatingly, with her. Macie made the decision to live her life, to move on without Greyden, especially once she met the man who wanted to marry her and give her the life he couldn’t.

The problem with that was that Greyden had always seen her as his. Could he give her up completely for her supposed happiness or could he somehow manage to get his life in order to try and win her back, heart and soul?“I can’t make you mine right now, Macie.” He sounded dejected.

“I know,” she whispered across his lips, this time pressing her mouth against his.

“I don’t trust anybody else with you,” he said as she deepened the kiss a little more, but he wasn’t letting her fully in.

She licked his top lip and a small groan came out against his wishes. “I know, Sugar Plum.” She kissed just his bottom lip; being the only participant in the kiss was becoming challenging.

Greyden laughed. “Noooo.” He gripped her face, stopping her ministrations. She scrunched up her nose at him. “Macie, remember our plans?”

She nodded. How could she forget? They had a future together, just not a present.

He tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. “I promise to keep my mouth shut if you want to date, if you promise to date guys your own age and to be smart.”

Macie’s shoulders sagged in disappointment. That’s not where she was hoping he was going to go with that. “Grey, I don’t—”

“Butterfly,” he slides a finger to her lips effectively shushing her, “I wish I could be that guy for you right now, but I can’t. I know that others can’t either, but apparently you’re going to have to figure that one out on your own. That’s why I ask that you wait ‘til you’re eighteen for the major stuff. Because, Butterfly…God. Macie James, you’re not the girl guys screw around with. You’re the girl guys marry. You’re the girl I’m going to marry.”

Macie gasped in complete shock at his words. Stunned speechless. What does one say to that anyway?

Thankfully, she didn’t have to think too long. Greyden slid off the truck, coming in close contact along her body, not letting her back up. He leaned down, his lips hovering over hers momentarily, just barely brushing them before pressing the sweetest kiss to her hyper aware lips. His lips were soft and warm and Macie wanted to pull him even closer than he already was and open up to him, but that’s not the kind of kiss he was giving her. No, he was giving her a kiss of a promise, a promise of a future, of a friendship and of a love that will only bloom with time, that’s what this kiss was. It was kind of heartbreaking on her end. It may be what he wanted and needed right now, but he just told her he was going to marry her, yet she couldn’t really kiss him, or have him.

Review by Gia:
Without Hesitation is book three in the Without series.  The other books in the series are great and you should definitely read them but Without Hesitation can be read as a standalone.   Without Hesitation is Macie and Greyson's story.  It is told in their dual POVs.
Macie's brother Declan and his friends have always been protective of her.  Macie and Greyson have liked each other for a long time.  Greyson continues to push Macie away.  A was a little frustrated on much many times they denied their feelings for each.
We get a lot of flash backs throughout the story.  This was nice to read because it gave some great insight on Macie and Greyson's relationship.   There relationship goes back a long way and after reading some of the flashbacks you can't help up route for the to have a good relationship.
This was a great and I can't wait to see what character get a book next.
