Stronger

Blurb

Regan

According to Regan, life could not possibly get any better. After graduating from nursing school, she landed a job in the ER and began to live her life with her boyfriend, Jake, by her side. In one instant, the life she has worked so hard to create is destroyed when she is assigned to a patient and that patient is none other Jake, who lay brain dead in the trauma unit.

Grayson

Grayson, a firefighter, couldn't imagine life any other way. Great job, even better friends, and women at his disposal any day of the week. When a call comes in to respond to a car accident, his life is turned upside down when he finds his best friend inside the vehicle.

Regan was Jake's, and Grayson respected that, but with grief swallowing them both whole, neither can deny the chemistry between them, despite how awful that makes them feel. To deal with everything, the pair will have to be stronger than ever before, but can they make it work between them, or will guilt tear them apart?

Interview With Syd Ryan:

  1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
I have published only one book to date. I am currently halfway through book two. I consider my books to be contemporary steamy romance. The series I am writing now is about three women that work as nurses in a local emergency room. The first two books characters are best friends, and the third one will be about a co-worker.

2.  How did you choose the genre you write in?
Oh…that is an easy question. I love romance. When I was little, my mom used to read romance, eat a Hershey Bar, and drink a Coke. I don’t know any different. I don’t read any other genre sometimes a Women’s Fiction can slip in.

3.  How did you choose the genre you write in?
Stronger is my debut romance novel that released on 8-29-17.

4.  When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I started writing in August of 2017. On my Goodreads challenge last year, I read over 300 books. I decided if all these indie authors can write, so can I. I have so much to learn about the author community. Publishing my first book was a tremendous learning experience. I will never take for granted the work that goes into publishing a book.

5.  Do you have a favorite spot to write?
I don’t have a favorite writing spot. I have to write anywhere I can. I admit most of my writing gets done when I am at work. Crazy? Absolutely. I work two to three sixteen-hour shifts per week. I often write when they are sleeping because that is when it is most of my free time to write. The problem is no comfort. The chairs are these enormous plastic hard chairs so they can’t flip them over if they have a crisis.

6. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
No outline. I just have an outline in my head. I map an outline in my head on how I want the story to go and just move with it.

7.  If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Super-powers…I would love to be able to fly. Flying absolutely would be the best. Another superpower would be to grant people wishes. My last superpower would be the ability to remember everything and anything. Ok…I thought of another one my husband brought to my attention. I would be invisible. I am way too nosey to want to miss anything.

8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
My current writing project is book two called Worthy. I am currently at 58,000 words, my goal is for it to be an 80,000-word novel. If I am going to write a book, it is going to be a book. I don’t like short books and get frustrated. I made a promise to not write a book under those terms. Worthy is about Jamie, the best friend in book one. Jamie is a wild one and has no filter. Jamie got in trouble at work, and now she is mandated to attend the anger management group at the hospital. The therapist/educator she is assigned to is one of her one night stands. Worthy is filled with funny and compelling moments that will leave the reader wanting to read the next page.
