Interview With Jennifer Sivec:

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
My books are beautifully broken stories with heart. All of the stories surround characters who are desperately trying to find peace, hope, or love in their lives. They are beautiful souls who are on a journey to work through their past, come to terms with their present, and heal for their future.

2. What is a usual writing day like for you, how is it structured?
My writing day is completely unstructured. I often write in small chunks of ten-fifteen minutes but if I’m really lucky I’ll get a few hours in a row to write. Because my life is so busy and I have a full-time job that I really love, I typically only write when I’m off in the evening, early morning, or anytime in between.

3. Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?
My favorite time to write is in the morning or late in the evening. Honestly, I write anytime I can capture a little bit of time.

4. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
I usually only have water when I’m writing or if I’m able, wine or whiskey. I don’t eat when I’m writing because it distracts me.

5. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
I’m pretty flexible. If I’m writing early, I write at my dining room table, but I can write anywhere under most circumstances. I am fortunately able to block out everything (T.V., other people talking, dogs barking, children etc.) so anywhere is ideal.

6. For someone who hasn't read any of you books yet, which one would you suggest they read first?
I would suggest either reading Leaving Eva, which is the first book in the Eva Series, or The Other Half of Me. Those are the two stories that represent what my writing is about the most, for now.

7. If your fairy godmother waved her wand and whisked you away to the location of your choice, which place would you choose, and why?
I would go anywhere there was an ocean and a beach where I could feel the sand between my toes. I know that sounds cliche, but there’s something to be said for the sound of the ocean in my ears.

8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I’m currently writing a short story for an Autism Anthology where all of the proceeds from sales will benefit families who are touched by Autism. I”m also working on book 41 of the Happy Ending Resort Series. Each book is authored by someone different with the same common setting, the Happen Ending Resort. My book is titled The Good One, which will be out April 15th. I’m also involved in another anthology called Wine Down with Love, which will have a fall release. I’m very excited to get to work with so many fantastic authors!!
