Avalanche is the first book I have read by Cambria Hebert. I don't don't know why it took me so long to pick up a book by this author but she just gained a new fan. I loved this one. It has a great mix of romance and suspense. I was right from the beginning with the prologue.
It's told in the dual POV of Liam and Bellamy. I loved dual POVs. Bellamy saw something she shouldn't have and she is the witness protection program. She has a lot going on but she stays a strong character and not whiny at all. She dealing with what life gives her. She runs to a place, BearPaw Resort, that gave her happiness when she was younger. She doesn't except to see Liam there. Liam broke heart before but when they see each other there is still a connection. I loved Liam. He was a professional snowboarder until an injury sidelined him. His father runs BearPaw Resort and Liam teaches snowboard classes at the resort. Liam has every reason to be a cocky guy but he's really a down to earth guy. I liked his friend Alex too. Alex at times was super funny.
As Bellamy and Liam rekindle their love there are still bad guys out there. Bellamy feels safe with Liam and at points I forgot she was running from the bed guys. I didn't want to put this one down and I will definitely be picking up the next one when it comes out.
