I haven't read anything by this author before this book, but I will be going back and one-clicking her Hamden series for sure!! Everything about this book drew me in and I could not put it down. I really loved how the author has wrote and developed Gage and Delany as real life characters. I could relate to each of them and see where each were coming from. I understood why they acted the way they did. Some say that Delany was annoying, but I didn't get that at all. I felt she was a real life woman who acted on things based on who she was as a person. And then there is the oh so handsome Sheriff Gage. I could see how he would "over react" to some situations based on his past. I wanted to strangle both Delany and Gage at many points in the book and for me personally that says the author has done a fabulous job writing these characters. I can't wait to read more about the Dennison family. This series has the promise of being fantastic based on this book. Great job Wendy!!! You are on my must read list for sure!! I give this one 5 AMAZEBALLS stars!!
