Featured Author: Ellie Isaacson

 Welcome Today's Featured Author

Ellie Isaacson!!

Hitman series is a dark romantic suspense series about a family of hitmen and the women who steal their hearts.

The Hitman, book #1 in The Hitman series

In The Hitman, Yanny Medina is sent a contract to kill the daughter of his worst enemy. Only he soon realizes, she’s the girl who got away – the one he hasn’t been able to get out of his head since they first met. Bringing Lia into his life causes more problems than he can count, but not having her isn’t an option.

The blurb:

She was the daughter of my worst enemy.

I was the hitman hired to take her out.

When the contract hit my phone, I thought it was fate. The broken, frightened girl who got away. The one who lied about who she was and disappeared without a trace.

Now I had a second chance. There was no doubt I’d do everything to keep her safe, both from my family and the man who wanted her life.

As secrets were revealed, lives were put at risk. But life had taught me there was no running from death.

It might have been fate that brought us together, but it was her past that would tear us apart.

The Boss, book #2 in The Hitman series

The Boss is a sexy, enemy-to-lovers romance that breaks this series straight into a mafia world, and will have you burning through the pages as you read this emotional story. The chemistry between Natalia and Diesel is off the charts, but there is so much more to them than love and hate. Both have been through hell, but together, they’ll find their way out.

The blurb:

Natalia

I hated him from the moment I first saw him.

Those bright blue eyes brought reminders of my biggest regret, my greatest loss, the thing that tortured me and had me struggling for control.

Each time I pushed him, he pushed back. Each time he touched me, something in me broke.

He would be the death of me, but I couldn’t stop.

Diesel

Her brothers brought me into their family. Gave me the one thing I needed more than anything else. Then they asked me to do something I wasn’t sure I could.

Take care of her.

She was trouble wrapped up in a gorgeous package, but I wanted to wrap her in my arms. Soothe her worries, calm her fears, show her what it felt like to let go.

The fire between us ignited. But as the walls burned down around me, I’d be forced to choose between the life I’d always known, and the love of my life.

The Queen, book #3 in The Hitman series

The Hitman series continues with The Queen. This one is so sexy, the chemistry between Mateo and his Queen is intense. The mafia world grows more and more important, and you’ll be dying to learn all their secrets.

The blurb:

We connected in an instant.

Fell the moment we met.

Lived in a fantasy world where our bodies became one and nothing else existed.

But when reality intruded, that world came crashing down.

Life beyond the walls I’d sequestered myself behind summoned me, and I knew things would change.

There were things I hadn’t told him. Things that would change the way he looked at me. But as the truth came out, my world went to war against my greatest enemy, and it was his secrets that put everything that mattered most at risk.

The question was, would we both make it through unscathed, or would one of us have to make the ultimate sacrifice?

Interview With Ellie:

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?

The books in my Hitman series are the perfect mix of dark and emotional. Each book deals with its own couple, and each ends in an HEA. For the first four books of this series, they are better read in order, as there is a storyline that weaves between all four of them, revealing secrets as the story progresses. The stories fit together like a puzzle, one where the picture isn’t fully revealed until the very end.

2. What inspires you to write?

My first story ideas came from a crazy dream. I turned that into a dystopian fantasy trilogy and another fantasy book (which may never see the light of day!). But when the writing bug hit me, I couldn’t ignore it. Even though I didn’t have any more crazy dreams, I kept dreaming up new ideas and writing them down, and have now written 15.5 books. Most of my main characters in my Hitman series were inspired by pictures of real people on Instagram, while the initial idea came from a selfie that one particular model took that I saw posted in an author group. I also get a lot of my best ideas while listening to music, and one of my favorite things to do is drive alone for long distances on the open highway with my playlist blaring.

3. How do you come up with your characters' names?

I have a horrible tendency to name my characters after my co-worker’s children (and furbabies). When I’m not stealing their names, I find them in databases at work or by using a couple naming websites my writer friend told me about.

4. If you could be friends with one of your characters, which one would you choose?

This is a really hard question, because I love them all. But I think I’d have to say Mateo Medina. So much of this character is based on my and my husband’s orneriness. Whenever I write a scene with Mateo in it, I’m overcome with the need to pester my husband, and he’ll give it right back. Mateo is by far the most fun character I’ve ever written.

5. Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?

I have a full-time job and 2 young kids, so my writing time comes whenever I can get it. First thing in the morning, over my lunch hour, while I’m patting my kid’s back at bedtime. I write in GoogleDocs, and I have the app on my phone, so it’s not unheard of for me to write while sitting at a stop light, or while walking around a grocery store or the mall. I’m most successful when I sit down every night after the kids are in bed and spend a couple hours writing.

6. Do you have a release day tradition?

So far, the only tradition I’ve had is that my day goes on like normal. I keep meaning to take a release day off to celebrate, but I unfortunately have not had the ability to do that yet.

7. If you had a superpower, what would it be?

Mind reading. I can’t tell you how much easier this would make my life!

8. What writing projects are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on edits of The Ghost, book #4 in my Hitman series, which releases in December 2020. I’m also going through beta notes on my March 2021 release, which will be a brand new series. AND, I’m halfway through book #6 in my Hitman series, which should release sometime in 2022.
