Review by Gia:
I have read a few of Meghan Quinn's books. She's my go to if I need a funny read but this one st a little different then the other ones I read by her. This one has funny parts but it has a more serious heavy tone to it. It brightened up my day. I was having one of those days, you know the ones where you want a do over or just to make the day go a way. I was done with the day and decided to curl up in a ball on the couch and read Dear Life. At 20% I was smiling. Now if you read the book, you're probably wondering what the heck I could be smiling at at that point. Well at that point, it was where I realized that even though my day was sucking I couldn't give up on it, it would only get better if I tried. This story touched my heart and will stick with me.
Four people, Hollyn, Jace, Daisy, and Carter, are at their low points in life. Hollyn and Jace are both grieving from a lost. Daisy and Carter are trying to break free and find their freedom. They all join the Dear Life group to help get things sorted out. They all have their issues and this likely group forms a bound. I loved all the characters. It's an emotional roller coaster of a read. It's wonderful written so that as the characters have their ups and down you can feel the emotions. Hollyn, Jace, Daisy, and Carter are very well written characters. They are definitely relateable characters. I loved all of the characters but Carter may have been my favorite. Carter's Dear Life letters were always short and made me smirk and sometimes even laugh a little.
It's an amazing read and I absolutely loved it. This is one of those books that you should stop everything and read now.

About
the Author:
Born
in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into
a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal
hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's
Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid
you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be
humped.
Once
she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to
work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her
head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of
conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a
therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or
start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option
and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught
Looking.
Now
you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind
of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her
five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind
shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous
stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob
squeeze!
