This one was one of those books that left me feeling emotionally exhausted by the end of it. It's told in the dual POV of Isla and Liam. I loved that we could get into both of their heads and see what they were thinking. Isla is a strong woman. She has been through a lot. The first Chapter in Isla's POV pulled me right in. That chapter was written with so much description and emotion that I just wanted to jump through the pages and give Isla a hug. I knew right from there that this one would not be a fluffy, blow through read. Liam is friends with Isla. He has his past that is pretty heavy. He's a cocky guy. He is one of those characters that sometimes I loved him and sometimes not so much. There were parts where I just wanted to jump through the pages and shake him. There was a point that I was getting a bored with the story but then I was hit with an expected twists and that pulled me right back into the story. There are some twists that I never saw coming. These twists were are the right spots that kept me hooked into the story.
