Release Blitz for Songbird Freed by Lisa Edward

Blurb
My name is Tara O’Connell, and I’ve always believed we control our own fate. That life is a journey with many roads, and the choices we make can shape our future.

Life has presented me with two paths and I’ve chosen one.

Was it right? Did I make the best decision?

After the uncertainty of the last twelve months, my destiny is now crystal-clear to me. I have a man I love more than words can express, a thriving business, and the best friends anyone could ask for. But just when I thought I could put the turmoil of my past behind me and move on, a life-changing phone call has rocked me to the core and turned my life upside-down once more.

To make matters worse, influences outside my control have taken hold and are shattering my perfect world.

But some things are worth fighting for.

Dreams can come true and I’ll do everything in my power to make them happen. But dreams can also be smashed into tiny pieces, and no matter how hard we fight or how hard we wish for something to be, sometimes with the hand we’ve been dealt, we can never win.

Review by Tabitha

This is the first book I have read by this author, but it definitely won't be my last. I am so in love with Adam and Lily. They had me laughing out loud one minute and then the next I needed a fan or a cold shower because man they were hot. I was hooked from page one right up until the very last page. And when it was over, I sincerely wanted to reread it right then. That's how much I loved it!! I can't wait to read the others. I went and 1clicked them as soon as it said the end. I hope to get the whole series in paperback as well. They have to be great to make it on my paperback shelf. Great job Ms. Silber! If I could give this more than 5 AMAZEBALLS stars!!

Will everyone make it to the wedding alive? Find out in Legally Wed.

Review by Tabitha

This was exactly what I needed for the conclusion of Adam and Lily. I must admit, I was really sad at the end of Legal Briefs when I felt there really wasn't a conclusion to their story. Well have no fear this is it and it was brilliant!! I absolutely love Adam and Lily! They have a relationship that is funny and sweet and oh so sexy and naughty. It is just awesome. I love that we see the "planning of the wedding" with the normal (I use normal very lightly) Jewish mothers who are overbearing to say the least. This was truly everything I felt like I missed and much more! I also felt like it was great to involve their friends and give us a glimpse into what will no doubt be another great book. Can't wait for Mark and Beth's story!! This is a 5 AMAZEBALLS stars!!!

Review for Private Internship by Kitsy Clare

Private Internship (An Art of Love novel)

Private Internship (An Art of Love novel)

by

SYNOPSIS:

Sometimes sugar isn’t so sweet and secrets can be deadly . . . especially with matters of the heart.

Sienna’s bestie, Harper warned her not to intern for famous bad boy artist, Casper Mason. After all, he just fired Harper who helped Sienna get the interview. But the moment Sienna sees Casper—or Caz—sweaty, practically shirtless and swinging from chains as he works on his sculpture, she’s hooked. He’s the richest, hottest artist in New York, and he lives in the fabulous Williamsburg Sugar Factory. But he’s also an incorrigible game-player, who seems to relish testing Sienna’s loyalty with a string of unsettling tests.

She knows she should get away fast. But by the time Sienna sneaks into his locked storage room and begins to unearth his dark and terrifying secret, she’s fallen way too hard for the handsome, charismatic Caz.

Review by Gia:

Private Internship is in Art of Love series.  There is a previous novella in the series, Model Position.   I was told you didn't have to read Model Position first to understand Private Internship and you don't.  Model Position is a short read so I decided to read it first.  I highly recommend you read Model Position first.  In Model Position you get a sense  of how Sienna is.  Sienna is a great character.  She is caring and honest.  She wants to further her art career but does not use people to get there.
Sienna takes an internship for a famous artist named Casper or Caz for short.   Her best friend Harper, tells her not to take the internship because she was just fired by Caz.   Sienna doesn't listen to Harper and takes the position anyways.  That cause a little tension in their friendship.
Caz seems closed off and dedicated to his work.  I loved reading hoe Sienna and Caz's relationship emerges.   It was great to see Caz let down his walls and have fun.    Caz has a secret.  He has a locked room and when Sienna goes in it, she finds out about some of his secret.  Caz secret was one I have never read in a book before.  The secret is not good but it's unique.

Review of A Wilde Night by Savannah Young

A Wilde Night

A Wilde Night (Old Town Country Romance #3)

by
She’s an award-winning winning actress and he’s an average guy just trying to get by…

Fresh out of police officer training, newbie cop, Hunter Wilde, takes an off-duty gig working special events at the Tawnee Mountain Resort to earn a little extra cash to supplement his public servant’s salary.

Katie Lawrence is Hollywood’s hottest sweetheart. With her second Oscar win before the age of twenty-five she’s all Tinseltown is talking about.

When Katie attends a wedding at the Tawnee Mountain Resort with the notorious bad-boy Olympic gold snowboarder, Devon Black, he’s more interested in bedding the bridesmaids than he is in being with Katie.

So Katie tries to find solace in the personal security guard assigned to her by the resort…the reluctant Hunter Wilde. He’s not impressed with Katie’s stardom and he definitely doesn’t want to get involved with a drama queen…but Katie manages to steal his heart when he least expects it.

A WILDE ONE is the third book in the OLD TOWN COUNTRY ROMANCE series. It can be read as a STAND ALONE NOVEL or as part of the SERIES.
Review by Gia:
A Wilde Night is Book three in the Old Town Country Romance Series.   It can be read as a standalone.  Each book follow one of the four Wilde brothers.  The Wilde's are a close knit family so in each book you do get updates on the other brothers.   A Wilde Night is Hunter Wildee's story.
Hunter is a sexy down home country boy.  He is very committed to his family, which consists of his brothers.    He also seems a bit of a workaholic.  He is a police officer, works guard duty in his off time at Twanee Mountain Resort, helps his brothers run their bar, Haymakers, and occasionally plays in a band with his brothers.  Hunter is a little different than alot of the guy characters in the books I have read.  He is not a bad boy or a player but he is still makes for a great book boyfriend.
While working at Tawnee Mountain Resort, he gets put on guard duty for Katie Lawrence.  Katie is a Hollywood star, who is at the resort to attend her boyfriend's brother's wedding.   Her relationship with Devon Black is more for publicity.    Katie and Hunter have chemistry to right away.
I loved to read how Katie and Hunter's relationship grows.  Hunter brings Katie to Haymakers.   She wears a disguise and no one recognizes her.  I loved that part because it gave Hunter's family a chance to get to know the real Katie.   There are some ups and downs for Katie and Hunter.   I liked the endung but I was a little surpirsed by it.

Unwritten (The Unspoken Series Book 1)

Unwritten (The Unspoken Series Book 1)

by

Synopsis:
I thought it was too late. I thought our story had already been written.

College sophomore Brooke Anderson thought she had it all − a loving family, her sexy high school sweetheart, a supportive, quick-witted best friend and dreams of being the next hotshot reporter for the Washington Post.

Fate had something else in mind when Brooke collided with the devastatingly handsome upperclassman, Rich Davis. Rich was cocky, conceited and arrogant. He was everything that Brooke didn’t want, but Rich never gave her the option. He had already made the choice to be, at the very least, her friend. Would Brooke accept this egotistical man’s friendship? Would she choose to want more? Would it be too late if she did?

Fast forward nearly ten years. Brooke’s life hadn’t played out quite as she had envisioned it. She was suffering from the heartbreaking loss of her mother, her high school sweetheart was long gone, and her dreams of the Washington Post had turned into a career at a small town paper. Brooke decided it was time to follow her dreams. If she couldn’t be happy in love, at least she could be happy in life.

Brooke’s dreams brought her to the lobby of the Washington Post where fate intervened once again as she collided with none other than the devastatingly handsome Rich Davis. As her potential employer, Rich now seemed off-limits. Brooke wanted her successful career more than a chance at love. But, was it really her choice to make, or was it beyond her control?

Maybe our story is, in fact, Unwritten …

Excerpt:

Prologue
October 2011
There was a limousine waiting for me when I exited the terminal at Dulles International Airport, just a little after daybreak. I’d only ridden in a limo once before and it had been with him. I never imagined a potential employer going to such extremes for an interviewee. First, I received first-class boarding passes and now a stretch Hummer with my very own driver. This was certainly a few hundred steps above my current, small-town, reporting gig.
Even while riding in the lap of luxury, I couldn’t shake the butterflies fighting in my stomach, or the incredibly sweaty palms that I kept wiping on my navy, pinstriped, pencil skirt. Thankfully, I decided to forgo breakfast before catching the red-eye out of Detroit. That would’ve made the butterfly situation a whole lot worse.
I could do this. I should have researched the editor, Davis, a bit more. Why didn’t I think of doing it two days earlier? Where was the brown paper bag when you needed it? They were always so readily available to the broken heroines in the kinky romance novels that I enjoyed reading.
After what seemed to be a short drive, the limo began to slow down in front of a large building with oversized, tinted glass windows. Both an American flag and the flag of Washington D.C. flanked the entrance of my destination, the home of the Washington Post. Before the car came to a stop, I wiped my sweaty palms one final time, pulled my compact from my purse, applied a light pink lip gloss and took a deep breath. Showtime!
My driver came around and escorted me from the car. For that I was thankful, as I’m not sure my nervous, wobbly legs could have survived my new ankle-strap, cream leather Louboutins that I purchased just for this interview. Sure, they may have cost me half an entire paycheck, but I wanted to look the part of an up-and-coming Washington reporter. My new shoes paired nicely with the vintage Valentino suit jacket that I found on clearance at my favorite consignment store and with my favorite go-to, pencil skirt.
I made my way up the front stairs, opened the heavy doors and headed toward the receptionist’s desk. There sat a young blonde with what appeared to be a fake rack and an even faker tan.
“Hi, I’m Brooke … Brooke Anderson. I’m here for an interview with Mr. Davis.”
The much-too-perky female handed me a visitor’s badge and directed me to the twelfth floor where I was to ask for Mr. Davis’s secretary, Caroline. I waited at the elevators for what seemed like an eternity before the doors opened and a group of people pressed forward.
A few suits exited the elevator on the sixth floor before the doors, pinging open on the twelfth floor, snapped me out of my nervous trance. I straightened my skirt and began to exit the elevator when I collided with all solid muscle and six feet three inches of him. And, that smell – why did this man smell so familiar? … I hadn’t smelled that perfect scent since … it’s then that I looked up and was greeted by those teal eyes. I’d never forget those eyes – those eyes that I never believed I would gaze into again. It was immediate déjà vu. I’d met him like this once before, only eleven years earlier. I had been a young and naïve student with so much to learn about life, love and heartache. I felt my heart begin to race and I feared that it might actually leap from my chest.
I thought it was too late for us. I thought our story had already been written. …

About MC Decker:

M.C. Decker is the author of the debut novel, Unwritten. She lives in a suburb of Flint, Michigan with her husband and spoiled-rotten Siamese cat, Simon. For the last decade, she has worked as a journalist for several community newspapers in Michigan’s Thumb region. She enjoys all things ‘80s and ‘90s pop culture: movies, boy bands, music and especially the color, hot pink. She also strictly lives by the motto, “Life is better in flip flops,” and is a diehard Detroit Tigers fan. You can e-mail her at author.mcdecker@yahoo.com. She would love to hear from you.

Interview with MC Decker:

1) Can you tell us a little about The Unspoken Series?
Currently, I have plans for 4.5 books in The Unspoken Series. The series will include a duet with the first
two main characters, Brooke and Rich, (Unwritten and Unscripted), then I have plans for a novella in Rich's POV which for those who have read will take a look into the ten year gap in Unwritten. I hope to have both of those books out in 2015. Book three will focus on Brooke's best friend, Cassidy, and the fourth book will follow a character who was introduced briefly in Unwritten, but will play a much larger role in Unscripted.

2)
Do you have any “odd” writing habits?
I suppose my oddest writing habit is that I write the best at night. I am an extreme night owl and I'd say that most of my writing is done between midnight and 3 a.m. I also am addicted to Sour Patch Kids and peach tea and my writing goes better if I have both in front of me!

3)
Do you listen to music while you write?
Yes, I do listen to music while I write. I have a playlist that I
listen to for both Unwritten and Unscripted. Some of the songs are mentioned in the book while others are just songs that make me think of my characters. (I will include the graphic I have made for the Unwritten playlist).

4)
When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I'm a journalist so I have always had a passion for writing. It wasn't until last fall, though, that I seriously considered writing fiction.
My husband was the one who actually put the idea in my head. At first I looked at him like he was crazy, but then once I thought about it my story just kind of came to me. I outlined the entire plot in my head for about six weeks before I actually wrote anything down.

5)
What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?
I am terrified of flying. The first time I flew, though, I crossed the Atlantic. I traveled to
the British Isles on a study abroad trip. You know what they say ... Go big, or go home, right?

6) What's your favorite Holiday?
Thanksgiving

7) Can you pick one quote from Unwritten to share?
"You always said this was it for you -- your end game and your dream job. I'd be lying to myself and to you, if I didn't tell you that I came here and accepted this position, hoping that one day we'd find each other again."

8) If Unwritten was made into a movie, who would you want to cast as Brooke and Rich?
If Unwritten was made into a movie, I would cast Brant Daugherty as Rich and Ashley Greene as Brooke.

9) Do you have a release date for Unscripted (The Unspoken Series Book 2)?
I don't have an official release date yet for Unscripted by I'm hoping by late winter/early spring 2015.

10) What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I don't have any other writing projects at this time, I am focusing all of my efforts on getting Unscripted into my readers'  hands!

Synopsis

I am Arkadia Castner. I am beautiful. I am popular. I am also the most messed-up witch you will ever meet. I can’t make water boil, or make the wind blow; I can’t even light a match without the aid of a flint. My 18th birthday is in six months, and if I don’t pass the Paranormal Safety Exams (PSEs) by then, I will be banished to the Isle of Shadows for eternity, never to be seen again – it will be as though I never existed.

The halfway house is the last chance for troubled paranormal teens like me to pass our PSEs and avoid banishment. Eloise knows everything I think and feel, and is supposed to be helping me, but I still can’t do basic spells a six-year-old can do. I hate it here, but I have no choice. This is my last chance.

I had all but given up hope, when in walks Bohdan Drak. Tall, dark, and so damn sexy it hurts to look at him – even his muscles had muscles. My dying hope has found life again, and I finally have a reason to look forward to a future.

Excerpt #1
Arkadia got out of the car and sat on the hood, not wanting to be in the car with Sebastian any longer then she had to. All she really wanted was for someone to “see” her. Arkadia wanted someone whose eyes lit up when they saw her, someone who loved her, cared for her, protected her, and would never ever EVER let her go. She wanted her Prince Charming. Arkadia thought maybe she could hurry this along a little bit. Glancing back at Seb, she sawhe was slowly beginning to breathe a little deeper, and not listening to her inner warning bells, Arkadia began to cast a spell.

“Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty,
Bring to me the full of heart,
Find the love of my Prince Charming,
So, that we shall never part.”

Feeling a sudden gust of air, Arkadia wrapped her arms around herself, feeling very uncomfortable in her own skin. She got up, wandered back to the car, and slid down into her seat, glancing over at Sebastian to see how much longer it was going to be before they left. Her eyes widened as she looked around, Sebastian wasn’t there. “Now where did he go? If he is strong enough to walk, he can drive and I’m outta here.”She looked through the windshield to see where he had gone.
“CROOOOOAAKK.” Arkadia cast her eyes down to the frog sitting on the driver’s chair, her blood running instantly ice cold.
“Ooohhhhhhh, fooook me!”

Excerpt #2
“Have fun?” Arkadia jumped to the side with a small squeal. Looking over to where the voice had spoken so close to her, she saw Bohdan, a cheeky smirk on his face.
“Will you stop doing that? I’m going to have a heart attack!” She playfully smacked his arm.Oh my Gawd, his arm is like concrete. Bohdan looked like a Greek god, having obviously just come from the showers, his wet curls sticking to the back of his neck and water droplets slowly rolling down his bare chest, disappearing into the towel wrapped around his slim hips. Her eyes traveled back up his chest, caressing his well defined six-pack, observing that the cool breeze does in fact make men’s nipples erect. Her eyes jumped back up to his suddenly when he cleared his throat. Having been caught ogling his body, Arkadia smiled sweetly, a little extra flutter to her eye lashes for effect as she softly spoke.
“Cat has made sure that I am having a very exciting night. Thank you for asking.”
“Indeed, I must thank Cat for that,” he replied, turned, and disappeared back into thechanging rooms.
