The first time I met Merrick Crawford was during my job interview.
Well, technically, I’d met him twenty minutes earlier when he’d barged into a fitting room a few doors down from my appointment.
I yelled. He yelled. After an argument while standing in my bra, I proceeded to smash the door into the gorgeous jerk, trying to yank it shut.
As you might imagine, I was freaked out when I discovered that the rude guy was my potential new boss.
Yet he didn’t seem to recognize me. Or so I thought… Until we wound up bickering again during my interview and he told me to go sniff my armpit.
Okay, so maybe I hadn’t exactly been changing when he walked in on me. In my defense, I’d been stuck on a hot train for two hours and wanted to make sure I didn’t smell.
I obviously didn’t expect to get the job. But somehow an invitation to a second interview arrived in my inbox.
Before I left, I asked to see Merrick. I needed to know why I was even in consideration after our disastrous start.
Turned out, Merrick only wanted to hire me because I was the least competent candidate. It seemed his board was making him fill the position, against his wishes.
I didn’t really want to work in a place where my boss expected me to fail. But I figured maybe I’d enjoy proving him wrong. It was a little thing I dubbed the boss project.
What I wasn’t prepared for was that there would be other things I’d enjoy doing to Merrick Crawford.
Getting involved with the boss wasn’t the smartest choice.
But you know what they say about choices: Some we regret, some we are proud of. I just had no idea where this one was going to land.
The Boss Project is a great story. This one is a must-read as soon as you can. I loved both Merrik and Evie. The side characters are great too. Merrik is a hot guy who is a little bit of a workaholic. He runs Crawford Investment, and Evie is his new employee. She's a therapist. She's down-to-earth and sassy. Both Merrik and Evie have been hurt in past relationships. They find each other attractive, but they fight their feeling for a while. I loved their interactions and banter, but when reading, I was like, hook-up already. There are little twists and bumps in the road, but I never stopped rooting for them. This one is one you should read.

Ready, Set, Romance! is a great read. Chapter One started with a bang; what Darby thought was going to happen was not what happened. I felt terrible for her. After what Aaryn did to her, I thought she would be broken and miserable, but Darby is a strong woman who picked up the pieces and forged forward. I loved Dravy's sassy, spunk, and drive. She's a great character. She decides to enjoy her vacation alone. She meets Mateo. These two don't get along very well at first. Mateo has had a bad relationship from which he's still feeling guilt, and he's looking for a relationship. There's tension between them, and either one wants to fall for the other. I loved reading this story and seeing the walls they had built slowly go down. This one is a must-read.

My Scorned Best Friend is book seven in The Greene Family series. Each book covers a different Greene Sibling, so it can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the previous books. This one is Xavier's (X) and Clara's story. I liked both of them; of course, I loved the meddling grandmas. X and Clara were best friends until something happened, and X messed it up. Clara is a strong girl with a weakness for X. She doesn't give in to him quickly, though. I liked everything about this book.

Not Over You is an Anthology with stories from different authors. I did not read the whole anthology; I only read In Waves by Jen Luerssen. I picked this one to read because I have read the author before. I liked In Waves. Owen and Molly are great characters. They both met as lifeguards when they were 18. We get to read about their past as well as the present. They are both back in the town the meet to get over some rough times in their lives. Molly has been through a lot, but she is a strong woman. Owen has been through some stuff too, and he thought it was time for a change. These two have great chemistry, and you know they are soul mates, but they have to work out things that happened in the past before they move forward. I was rooting for these two.
