Interview Skye McNeil:

1.Can you tell us a little about your books?
Right now, I have three books available on Amazon: Appointed By Fate, Timberline, and Donuts, Diamonds and Assorted Details. I love to read stories that not only keep me guessing but also engages my emotions. Swoon-worthy guys are a definite must as well. In my books, I do my best to create a similar experience. I also like to input humor within the pages because I believe it brings a lighter attitude to sometimes otherwise serious situations.

2. How did you choose the genre you write in?
Honestly, I write wherever the plot takes me. My main genre is romance, but the sub-genre varies depending on the story. My favorites are romantic suspense and romantic comedy, though I've written contemporary, historical, and thriller as well.

3. What book is your newest release?

Appointed By Fate was recently released on September 30, 2017. I absolutely adore this story in so many ways. There's humor, romance, hot guys, mystery, mobs, and murder. If you're looking to fall in love with the perfect man (in my biased opinion), this book is for you.
4. When did you know you wanted to write a book?

Even as a child, I've always enjoyed creating make-believe characters and stories. The real tipping point for writing came when I was seventeen. I wrote my first full-length novel during that summer and I've never looked back. There's something so incredibly exciting about writing a story that will connect to people you've never met.

5. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
I do! I have this incredible chaise right against a large window. I can sprawl out, get my notepad and cup of coffee and do my best to write when my cats aren't trying to steal my pen.

6. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
I do both. I never used to outline, but after I participated in NaNoWriMo for the first time, I knew it was something I needed to implement in the future. Other times, I just write when the inspiration hits me whether it fits in with the outline or not.

7. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?

For new readers who enjoy to be on the edge of their seat, I would suggest Appointed By Fate. There is a great mix of intrigue, romance, and twists to keep readers hooked. If they're more into lighter romance, I would suggest Timberline, my romantic comedy that was also released in 2017.
8. If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
I would love the power to heal people. Not sure if that's a superpower, but I see so many people in pain and there's nothing I can do to help them.

9. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
Presently, I'm gearing up for my NaNoWriMo story, but until I can officially begin it, I'm editing a few stories to submit to my publisher. My hope is to have at least two books out with Hot Tree Publishing in 2018. Fingers crossed!
