Interview With Ally Barnes & Debbie Ann:

1. Can you tell us about your books?
Honesty is the first book in our series, set in a small town named Havenwood. At this point we are planning a trilogy but who knows what’s to come.

2. How did you decide to work together?
After reading and discussing many, many books we decided to take a chance on ourselves and combine our individual aspirations to make one.

3. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
Debbie: I had always wanted to write from a teenager after sneakily reading my Nan’s Mills & Boons.
Ally: Writing was something I always wanted to do as I loved reading but never had the confidence to follow that dream through.

4. Using one sentence, can you describe Honesty?
A hot romantic thriller about pursuing your dreams and conquering past demons to find your true self.

5. What is a usual writing day for you, how is it structured?
When we are able to lock in the time, we like nothing more than shutting ourselves away with a few snacks, a couple of drinks and most importantly a beach view.
Once we are in the writing cave, we don’t come up for air until one of us cramps or the phone rings and one of our better halves reminds us to eat.

6. Do you have a favourite spot to write?
We love to travel to Wollongong. Having the beach close by is special to us both.

7. If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Debbie: I won’t need a super power because I’m marrying Thor. ie Chris Hemsworth.
Ally: Invisibility 

8. What writing projects are you currently working on?
We are currently working on the second instalment of our Havenwood series. It, like Honesty is a stand-alone. This book will be released early in 2018.
