Interview with Sheena Hutchinson

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
I write contemporary and paranormal romance. (I have two different series.) But, I wrote them so that they kind of overlap slightly. I was a little fascinated with how the contemporary world would see these paranormal happenings around. So there's that little Easter egg. The contemporary series is a college age romance that can be read as stand alones and center around the craziness of college life, while navigating coming into their own and a little thing called love.
My Seraphina Series centers around an girl who is having these strange dreams that make her feel like there is more to life. After one accident she finds out that maybe she was right...

2. What inspires you to write?
Most of my inspiration comes from these crazy dreams I have (sound familiar) ;)

3. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
Any place but my own house, I work best at Starbucks with an iced coffee in my hand and tunes in my ear buds.

4. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Starbucks iced coffee or red wine. (depending on time of day)

5. Do you listen to music while you write?
Yes, its a must when you are in a busy coffeeshop. Otherwise, I'm easily distracted.

6. What is a usual writing day like for you, how is it structured?
My main problem is finding time to write. Actually sitting down and writing is the easy part. When I finally find time, I just sit down and write full scenes until I run out of things to type.

7. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with? My personal favorite is Discovering April. I think it was the most fun to write and it will keep you on your toes.
If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Flight. I've always been fascinated with flying and the freedom of it all.

8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I'm finishing up my Seraphina Series. In between edits of that, I'm always working on this YA Dystopian I've been pondering over for quiet a few years now.
