Reviews of So Twisted, So Screwed, and So Wicked by Melissa Marino

BLURB:
"I was totally blown away!" —Tara Sue Me, New York Times bestselling author of the Submissive series

Sometimes it feels good to be a little bad.

Callie has found the perfect job. As nanny for a single dad and his adorable daughter, she can pay off her student loans and live in a nice house in the heart of Chicago. There's just one problem-her new boss. Definitely no dad bod here. Just six-plus feet of raw, sexual energy. Whoever heard of a dad being so hot?

From the sparkle in his daughter's eyes, Aaron can see that hiring Callie was a good decision. But Callie's breathtaking smile and long legs have him thinking about his own needs. Aaron knows it's a bad idea to get involved with the nanny, but it's been years since anyone has captivated him like Callie.

When living under the same roof proves too tempting to resist, Callie and Aaron discover a mind-blowing passion unlike anything either has experienced. But with a curious child and a nosy family in the mix, their secret, no-strings fling soon turns into a twisted, tangled knot . . .

REVIEW BY TABITHA:
Oh my goodness, I have found a new author to stalk!! I'm not going to lie here. I am a hard sell on a lot of new authors. A description of a book has to really catch me. And even then a lot of the time I find that it takes me a long time to get into a book. This one however, had me hook, line, and sinker. I was really drawn in from the very first chapter. Aaron, single daddy (HOTTIE ALERT) to sweet little Delilah needs a nanny and hires Callie. And that is where the awesomeness begins. The heat and chemistry between these two is enough to make you need a cold shower. I am seriously in love with Aaron although, he did get on my bad side for a minute but was definitely redeemed in my eyes. My one and only complaint and the only reason it is not a 5 star read is because I felt like the end was just a tad rushed. I would have liked a little more. Maybe a little epilogue and I would have been singing 5++ stars. But again, that really is the only complaint I have. Everything else about this book I LOVED. It will definitely go on my shelf as a reread. I am so looking forward to what this author puts out next.

BLURB:
He's charming, wicked, and handsome . . . and she needs to stay away
For Evelyn Owen, work comes first. Being a wedding planner to the city's elite fills her nights and weekends, and she doesn't have time for distractions. Especially in the form of a sexy bartender with killer dimples . . .

Abel Matthews knows how to serve the ladies. But lately, the only woman he wants is just out of reach. That's because Evelyn has already been warned about his playboy ways. Still, there's something about her that makes Abel want more than a quick fling.

Evelyn knows that she shouldn't trust Abel. Yet she's seen a side of him no one else knows, and she can't turn away. But Abel is hiding something from her . . . and if he doesn't confess soon, it will tear them apart.

REVIEW BY TABITHA:
So Screwed is the second book in this series and while technically they are standalones because each book is about different people, I really believe you should read them in order to be able to fully enjoy them. This book is about Abel, who is Aaron's brother. For those of you that have not read book 1, Aaron is the hero from So Twisted. I instantly fell in love with Abel in So Twisted and was beside myself to learn that this book was about him. And then the heroine of this book, Evelyn, is Callie's BFF. Callie is the heroine in book 1. Now, Abel comes across as an immature womanizer and Evelyn is nothing short of a ball buster. My opinion they made the PERFECT pair! Once again, Ms. Marino had me from the very beginning and I could not put it down until I saw the words "the end." Abel does something that makes you want to strangle him, although in my opinion not near as bad as Aaron did. He is 1o0% redeemed and honestly I really felt for him. Once again my only complaint is the ending I felt was a little fast. I really wanted to see just a little more. An epilogue would have made this book perfect for me. Otherwise, it was AWESOME!!! Definitely worth reading. In fact, I will be reading this one again.

BLURB:
Fate has a wicked sense of humor.

Alexis's new life was made up of two things: baking and hiding the details of her old life in Chicago. The first allowed her to finally find some happiness. And the second is about to be destroyed by a man who knows all her secrets.

Marshall Rawlins was prepared to do anything when he moved cross-country to launch an upscale cocktail bar---anything except work with Alexis, his best friend and business partner's ex-wife. Adding Alexis's boozy-baked goods to his menu would be a major feat for his bar. But striking a deal means getting in bed with the enemy.

Battling between distrust and desire, Alexis and Marshall give in to a passionate, forbidden affair. They know if they're discovered the consequences would be bad---it's just hard to remember that when being together feels so, so good.

REVIEW BY TABITHA:
OK so this is book 3 in this series and in my opinion you really need to read at least book 1 (So Twisted) before diving in to this one. I really recommend reading all three because they are all that good. Honestly, going into this one I was not sure how I was going to like it being that the heroine is Aaron's ex (So Twisted) and biological mother to his daughter. And then the hero of this book is Aaron's best friend. So in my mind I was going no way is Marshall going to fall for his best friend's ex wife/bio mom to his daughter especially knowing all the hell that Aaron went through because Lexie just up and left. However, what I did not plan on falling in love with these two. I had so many questions. Why did Lexie aka Alexis leave her husband and daughter with no more than just a note for one? Ms. Marino does an amazing job turning a "hated" character into one you love. I really did not expect to love this book, but I did. Marshall and Alexis are definitely meant to be just as Aaron and Callie and Abel and Evelyn are. I have said it before in my previous reviews that these books are ones I will reread and I will most definitely be doing that, but I have decided that I am going to need these in paperback too!! Grab all three of these books! You will not regret it!! I can not wait to see what is next!!
