Let me start off by saying that while I think it would be fine to read this as a standalone, you are very much missing out if you haven't read Carnal Risk first. There are intertwining characters and this leaves off right where the first one left off in the epilogue. That being said, I have been dying to get my hands on Lars's book. I remember getting to the end of book 1 and went "WTF just happen. I NEED LARS RIGHT NOW!" Because I read so much sometimes I forget a lot about the first book by the time I get to read the next. That is not the case here. I remember every single detail and was literally jumping up and down when I got this one. Lars stole my heart in Carnal Risk where he is introduced as he is best friends with the main character, Garrett, in it. Lars is not just swoon worthy but he is swoon, panty melting, drool worthy. Braelynn I actually really liked as well. Lars and Brae really had smoking hot chemistry from the very get go. I really liked all the characters. The flow of this story was really good and when I got to the end it was somewhat bittersweet because while I really needed to know what happened, I also didn't want it to end either. And here again we are thrown for a HOLY CRAP moment and makes you immediately want to scream because the next book isn't out yet. I hope she writes really fast and gets the next one to me soon!! I really wish I could give this more than 5 stars. It really is great and one I would recommend to all my friends!!
