Interview With Geri Glenn:
1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
So far the majority of my books are in the MC or Motorcycle Club
romance genre, but I also have an urban fantasy and a contemporary
romance out as well. I love to write what I read, and I basically read
everything, though bikers is where my brain tends to travel. I am a
sucker for a strong and broody alpha and a heroine that doesn't annoy
me. She needs to be strong and challenging to keep my attention. I try
my hardest to deliver that in each of my books.
2. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
It's kind of always been in the back of my mind, and over the years
I've started stories, but never finished them. I started Ryker about a
year and a half ago, and as I kept going, I was hooked. There's no
looking back now.
3. When you write do you write the first draft on a computer or paper and pen?
I do it all on the computer. I usually have pages and pages of
scribbled notes to myself or rough scene outlines, but most of it I type
up off the cuff. I am just as surprised as my readers how my books
turn out.
4. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?
I recommend starting with Ryker. It's the first book in my Kings of
Korruption MC series. The series follows the club storyline but each
book focuses on a different couple. Ryker is where it all started, so
that is the best place to start.
5. Do you ever experience writer’s block?
Ugh. Yes. I've actually struggled with it quite a bit over the last
couple of months. I just keep floating from story to story to try to
get my creative juices flowing.
6. Do you have a favorite character to write about?
So far, the heroine from my book, Tease, has been my favourite. Laynie
is blind, but that doesn't hold her back. She's strong and independent
and a perfect match for her broody hero. It was different writing a
story without being able to use what she sees in the description. I
think I did her justice and I know I grew as a writer during that
process.
7. Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?
CoHo. No joke. Colleen Hoover not only writes amazing stories that
never fail to gut me, but she's funny and charismatic and just seems
like a really cook chick. I would love to spend an afternoon getting to
know her.
8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I am working diligently on book #4 of my Kings of Korruption MC series,
as well as working on a secret project that I am co-writing with one of
my favourite people ever. We haven't released any details on it yet,
but I gotta tell you, it's my favourite book so far.
