Beautiful Sacrifice is book two in the Thin Red Lines series. Even though it's book two it can be read without reading the first one Beautiful Masterpiece first. If you have read Beautiful Masterpiece you'll be excited to get updates on Scott and Madison.
I loved this one. I loved the different POVs, it definitely lets you get better into the story. It starts of with a prologue form Lorelei. That part confused me a little. I was like who is Lorelei but it didn't take me long to figure out that she is part of the next case. Lorelei is absolutely crazy and she had me squirming in my seat at some points. Avery and Madison team up with Luke and Evan on a crazy ritual case. Avery is a strong character. She struggles with trying to live up to her father's expectations. There is this attraction between Avery and Evan. She has walls up but with Evan they start to fall. Through the romance they still have a tough suspenseful case to solve. I was so rooting for a long lasting relationship between Avery and Evan.
