Wow, this book is great. I finished reading it the other day and still don't really know what to say about it besides it's amazing and a must read. It's a drop everything and read now book. When sitting down to read this one you should make sure you have no other plan than to read. I sat down to read this one and figured I would read for an hour than take a break to make supper. I got totally hooked into the story and didn't put it down until I finished.

The story is an epic love story between Quint and Annie. It's told in their dual POVs. I loved being able to read what both were thinking. Quint and Annie have know each other since they were little. As they got older they went from friends to more. Quint is an amazing shortstop and Annie has been by his side as he climbs the ladder from college baseball player, minor league baseball player, to pro baseball player. A life changing event happens and choices about how to handles things come into play. There are a couple major things that happened that had me yelling at my kindle.

The Shortstop will have you captivated from beginning to end. This is a definite one click.
