Interview With Natalina Reis:
1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
My
romances span across several sub-genres but they all have a similar
message. My books (even the darker ones) feature a lot of humor and hope
as the background to everything the protagonists go through. As a
universal language love can cross barriers nothing else can and truly
perform miracles, I believe, so I infuse my stories with that idea.
Character strength and courage are common themes in my books and I have a
soft spot for rebels and outcasts.
2. What inspires you to write?
Pretty much everything. Conversations, things I see, events on the news, music, art, something said in passing.
3. How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
I have written eleven books so far (writing my 12th right now) but I have nine already published, one under contract, and the third in a series in edits. I can't chose a favorite. It's like asking a mom to pick her favorite child, lol. But if I had to chose it would probably be Blind Magic, a romantic comedy with a touch of magic.
4. For someone who hasn't read any of you books yet, which one would you suggest they read first?
Lots of hard questions. Since I write in different subgenres it would depend on what you prefer to read. From my romantic comedies I would say Her Real Man because it's a novella and a quick read.
5. Do you have a release day tradition?
Sadly no. After nine published books I have only once did a "formal" release party and it was mostly for my friends. I'm a terrible introvert so social interaction is sort of difficult, lol. But I seem to always be otherwise engaged on days when I have a release (not on purpose).
6. If you could be friends with one of your character, which one would you chose?
Easy. Marcy from Blind Magic. She's awesome and in never hurts to have a witch as a friend, right?
7. If your fairy godmother waved her wand and whisked you away to the location of your choice, which place would you choose?
I wold love to visit the Louvre because I'm an art lover but I probably would choose Bruges in Belgium where I spent some time many, many years ago and loved. Or to Scotland where I lived years ago and also fell in love with.
8. What writing projects are you currently working on?
I'm
working on a paranormal that picks up on a character in a previous
book. It's a little dark but it's peppered with humor and that glint of
hope that no matter what we do we always get a second chance at doing
better.
