For those of you who read Jas T Ward’s dark twisty paranormal romances, you may not know that she really enjoys writing a completely different genre - contemporary romance, with lots of unique twists of course. It all started when fans challenged her to write a contemporary romance... just a normal, standard, traditional romance. She completely failed, but the result was pretty amazing - Love's Bitter Harvest.
And just like that, a style was born: Romance – The Ward Way.
Along those lines, Ms. Ward is treating her fans to a new contemporary romance. Yes, it’s funny. Yes, it’s different and will have some twisted turns. After all, that is what she is known for and the path to love isn’t easy. Keeping with her style, this book will be unpredictable and keep the readers guessing, only to have everyone do a collective "Awww" sigh when the last page is turned. So here it is...
A Little Pill Called Love – A Romance the Ward Way

About Jas T. Ward:
Looking for something new & different to read? Like authors who take you on an emotional roller coaster ride? Meet Amazon best-selling author Jas T Ward, a multi-genre author like no other you’ve ever met.

Jas T. Ward has always used writing as a necessary escape. With a past that is marred with a difficult childhood and domestic violence as well as being homeless as an adult, Ms. Ward lost her creative voice when she lost her soul mate to suicide.
Finding that creative voice once again in writing in social media via blogs and creative writing groups, it was the fans that encouraged her to put her literary weavings to paper for them to enjoy.
When asked why she writes, Ms. Ward answers simply: “Reading saved me. It was my salvation and my haven. I now strive to pay that gift back by writing books that can give the same to others. And to keep myself sane.”

Interview With Jas T. Ward:
1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
Hi! And thank you so much for spotlighting me and my books. I love your blog. :) I live on the Gulf Coast of Texas with my two dogs. I have three amazing, independent grown children and writing is my hobby, obsession and second job. I love to write twisted books with every element I would want in a book - action, laughter, dark turns, twists to keep a reader guessing. Throw in some romance, some sex and WTF moments, we call it the "Ward Way". I write primarily in Paranormal Romance, dabble in Contemporary Romance and my next book, Soul Bound: The Warrior is my dive into GrimDark/Gothic Romance. I really hope the readers are willing to jump in with me. In fact, I'm daring them to.
2. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I have written in one form or another since I first learned to write as a child. As far as my career as a published author, I wrote online in the area of fan-fiction and grew my readership there. Over the years, the fans there wanted a collection of my stories in book form. I said sure, not expecting it to do well. It actually did fairly well, won some awards and the publishing bug bit me hard.
3. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?
It depends on their reading tastes. If they like the more contemporary romance to get a taste as to why we call it "Romance - The Ward Way". If they like the most twisted Paranormal romances, and feel there's nothing new in the genre, I suggest they jump on board with the Shadow-Keepers Series. I wanted to create a new world and beings in the genre, and I'm very proud to  have pulled that off. Thankfully, readers agreed. The first book, Candyman is the novella/backstory the fans fell in love with and spawned the whole series. They're going to love Reno Sundown. The next book is Madness and that's where the series starts - but Candyman gives them a peek into how the world came to be.
4. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Yes! Sweet tea. :) My favorite food to eat while writing is anything salty.
5. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
It depends on my mood. But now that the weather is getting better, I write outside on the deck. I have an amazing water view, so it's very inspiring.
6. What is a usual writing day like for you?  How is it structured?
I still have a "day job" so I usually am more than ready to dive into the worlds I created as much as possible. I spend my lunch time editing and then make sure I tune in to only writing for two hours in the evening. No social media, nothing.

7. If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Oh goodness. Probably time travel. Imagine how many wrongs you could change with that power. Now only in your life but in the world.
8. Are you attending any Author Signing Event this year?
I am, but all regional. I'm doing the Texas Book Bash and All About the Books, both taking place regionally here in Texas.
9. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
Soul Bound: The Warrior is releasing on June 13th, so now that I've completed the edits and proofing for that title, I'm working on another Romance - The Ward Way. A contemporary romance by the name of A Little Pill Called Love. It's a quirky romance (Benny and Joon is one of my favorite movies) so I wanted to show unique characters learning to love inspite of their personal issues. This one deals with having bi-polar disorder. It's slated to release this summer. Then later in the year I'm going to be completing Book Four in the Shadow-Keepers series - MURDER. And it's just as twisted as the title implies. But then again, so are all of my books.
