Interview With Shannon Schoolcraft

(1) Can you tell us a little about yourself? 
I'm from Northern Michigan and am a stay at home mom of three.

(2) Can you tell is a little about your books?
 My books are usually paranormal, I've got a couple that aren't paranormal reads.

(3) Using one sentence, can you describe The Rocking Chair? 
The Rocking Chair is a short ghost story with some of my personal experiences in it.

(4) What inspires you to write? 
My kids inspire me to write, they keep me going.

(5) When did you know you wanted to write a book? 
I was about 14 when a thought came to me about writing. I sat on the idea for a while and one day I just decided to do it.

(6) Do you have a favorite spot to write?
 I have a couple favorite spots to write. One of the spots is on my couch and the other is outside either under a tree or on my hammock.

(7) Do you listen to music while you write? 
Some times I do, yes. It all depends on the type of book I'm writing.

(8) For someone who hasn't read any of your books, which one would you suggest they read first? Hmm, I'd have to say either Dark Thoughts or The Rocking Chair.

(9) What is your favorite thing to do when not writing? 
I have a couple favorite things to do. I like to read, make candles and make blankets.

(10) What writing projects are you currently working on?
I'm working on the second book to The Rocking Chair, I'm also working on a dragon shifter book and a couple vampire books.

The Rocking Chair 

Lizzy Lasher has always been able to see ghosts. She has encountered the good and the bad. She left her small home town, only to return nine years later to help her mother. When a guy enters her life, she though he was normal, but finds out that he's not truly what he seems. When something happens to her mother, Lizzy knows what she has to do. But all Lizzy really wants is to be left alone, but if you're her, she'll never truly be alone.

Dark Thoughts

Zeek Hale lives in Tower Michigan, a small town between Onaway and Cheboygan. His best friend is Nick Jacobs, they have been friends since they were kids. A year ago he lost his mom in a car accident and Zeek blames himself. He feels like he could have said or done more to prevent her from leaving that day. More and more lately Zeek's mind show's him not so nice images and he's not sure whether or not to act on them. He's torn between right and wrong. Is Nick's friendship enough to save him from himself or will Zeek's dark thoughts consume him?
