On Higher Ground is book two in the On Solid Ground series. You should really read the first book On Solid Ground before this one. On Higher Ground is more of Dax and Beck's story. I really didn't pay much attention to the blurb or page size when I decided to read this one and I expected a fluffy short read to catch us up on Dax and Beck. It was definitely not what I expected which is not a bad things because it was way better than I expected. It's a full novel and it's not fluff. Dax and Beck have up and down and things to work through. Beck and Dax have their struggles and fears but they also have love and happiness. This one sucked me in from the beginning and keep in hooked the whole time. You should check this one out because it's a good read.
