Blog Tour for What The Lightening Sees by Louise Bay

what the lightening sees part 1 cover
What The Lightening Sees: Part OneRelease: March 31, 2015Amazon: US | UK | Canada | AustraliaBarnes and Noble: US | Nook UKiTunes | Kobo
Jake Harrison is everything that Haven Daniels hates about men: over-confident, born into money and too handsome for his own good. Haven finds it difficult to keep her opinions to herself and can’t help but tell Jake exactly what she thinks of him, again and again.
Haven Daniels is uptight, smart and a bit of a bitch – the perfect challenge for Jake. It doesn’t hurt that she’s movie star beautiful and has no idea.
Forced to work together, verbal sparring turns into sexual chemistry but men like Jake are trouble and Haven has had enough trouble to last her a lifetime.
Will Haven give into Jake’s charms? Can Jake peel off Haven’s prickly mask, revealing the woman he knows lies beneath?

Review by Gia:
What the Lightning Sees is a part one of three. In this one we get a feel for the characters. Haven is a reporter. She is closed off and comes off as a *itch. She is assigned to do a celebrity article. The only downfall is she is teamed up with photograph Harry (Jake). Harry is the boss's (Robert) friend.

I enjoyed reading this story and seeing Jake slowly break down Haven's walls. We get both Jake and Haven's POVs. There is a cliffhanger but part two is out so you don't have to wait to jump right in to the next one.

What The Lightening Sees: Part Two
Release: April 27, 2015Amazon | Goodreads
Haven had thought she was wrong about Jake, but apparently she should have trusted her instincts. He wasn’t the man she thought he was. The chink that Jake managed to put in her armor has healed over. She’s shut down and as far as she’s concerned, it’s all business between them from now on.
Thrown together on another assignment, anger, frustration and jealousy are at the forefront of Jake’s emotions. Will Jake convince Haven that he really cares or will he let her go as she insists he must?

Review by Gia:
This is part two and can not be read as a standalone. You must read part one first. This one picks up where the first one left off. Part one left off with a big misunderstanding and I was hoping that Jake and Haven would have it out and work things out. It's not easy to make things work this time but Jake gets a break when they are paired up again for a new assignment. Haven;s walls are back up and she is true to her character and makes Jake work for her.

Things get hot and heavy between them. There is what Haven calls a bump in the road at the end but that doesn't seem too bad then Jake's ex shows up and makes that bump huge. I was very surprised with the ending. Part three is already out so you don't have to wait for it to come out.

What The Lightening Sees: Part Three
Release: May 25, 2015
Jake and Haven have finally found a way to be together. Haven realized that she is ready to trust Jake and wants to open up to him.
For Jake, Haven isn’t an option, she’s not just another girl, she’s his future. He’s certain of that, or he was.
Jake has been delivered life-changing news that he is yet to share with Haven. Will he confide in Haven and if he does, is their bond strong enough to withstand the bombshell?
What the Lightning Sees Part Three is the final part in the series.
Coming next: Ashleigh Franklin’s story.

Review  By Gia:
This is part three, you must read part one and two first. Part three picks up where part two left off. At the end of part two Jake gets some information that is really big and in this one we see how that effects him and Haven.

I hated Jake for a lot of this book. Jake is a good guy and does what he thinks is right. I thought he catered to his ex too much. Haven does what she thinks is right too and pushes Jake away again. I was really rooting for them to get it together and be together but I really wasn't sure if they would be able to fit things this time.

This is the last book in the series so there is no cliffhanger.

About the Author
USA Today Bestselling Author Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books Faithful andHopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. Bestselling The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York. My next series is What the Lightning Sees.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.
Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
