Summer Sky (Blue Phoenix #1):

Synopsis
Summer Sky

Sky changed her life for a man once, and she has no intention of doing it again - even if he is a six-foot, tattooed rock god who makes a mean bacon sandwich.

Sky Davis is fed up of boyfriend Grant taking her for granted, and when she comes home to find him wearing a girl, Sky suspects the relationship is over. She takes an unscheduled vacation and leaves the life (and guy) she hates behind.

Rock star Dylan Morgan is struggling with fame and infamy, sick of his life being controlled by other people. Dylan cuts his hair and walks away from his role as lead singer of Blue Phoenix, leaving behind chaos and speculation.

Outside the English seaside town of Broadbeach, their cars and worlds collide.

Sky decides Dylan is an arrogant guy with too many tattoos, and Dylan is amused by the smart-mouthed girl with no idea who he is. Dylan and Sky soon discover they've travelled to Broadbeach for the same reason - to escape from reality and head back to a place with happy childhood memories. Losing themselves in a world where they know nothing about each other, Sky and Dylan begin a holiday romance that soon heats up their rainy English summer.

Fantasies can't last forever, and when reality crashes the party, Sky isn't sure she wants to be more than his 'summer Sky' but Dylan doesn't want to let her go.

Returning to the real world, public scrutiny isn't their only problem. Blue Phoenix lead guitarist, Jem Jones, has a reason for wanting Sky out of Dylan's life, and is determined to come between them. Some things won't stay hidden, even when they're paid to 'go away'.

Synopsis
Unplugged

"A rock star doesn't return to his humble beginnings and whisk away the girl he kissed once. Especially if she has a four year old and her relationship status is 'it's complicated'."

Blue Phoenix bass player, Liam Oliver discovers pictures of his fiancée with another man and his world crashes around him. He packs up his humiliation and hurt and flies back to his Welsh family home for Christmas.

Cerys Matthews once had pictures of Liam Oliver covering her bedroom wall. Her best friend’s big brother never gave her the time of day when they were growing up. When she was fifteen, he left town leaving Cerys with her fantasies. Now he’s back. The problem is, she has a daughter and a broken relationship of her own.

In the world of his Christmas past, Cerys and Liam reconnect. Are they two hurt people looking for comfort in a time of heartbreak or does Cerys have a place in Liam’s future too?

Months later and unplugged from his Blue Phoenix lifestyle, Liam reconnects with Cerys. He discovers Cerys’s world is full of complications he never expected – including Ella’s father who isn’t happy about being replaced by a rock star.

Unplugged is more than a rock star romance. Liam isn’t dark and brooding like Dylan, or a messed up bad boy like Jem, but a fiercely loyal man with a big heart. This is a story of love, family and unexpected bonds made that can’t be broken.

This is book three of the Blue Phoenix series. It can be read as a standalone but has minor spoilers for books one and two.

Interview with Lisa:

1)    Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I live in Perth in Western Australia but I’m originally from the UK, I moved here around thirteen years ago. I’m married with three children and live in a suburb where kangaroos hop down the street! I’ve been writing full-time for around two years and I’m about to release my eighth book.

2)    Do you have a favorite spot to write?
I have a space in the house I write tucked away amongst the stock of my other business (I run a craft supplies business from home in my ‘spare time’) I find it hard to write unless I’m in silence so I don’t often write at coffee shops etc.

3)    Do you have any odd writing habits?
I don’t drink coffee when I’m writing (or at all) which I’m told is odd.

4)    Are you doing any author signing events this year?
I was at one in March (Gold Coast, Australia) and will go back to the same one in March next year but don’t have any others planned. There’s few to attend in Australia and the US is out of my price range currently L I’d love to go to some over there in the future.

5)    What is the hardest scene you have ever written?
The first sex scene I ever wrote! I was convinced everyone would read it and think I was writing about myself. I still hate people I know reading my books for that reason. My husband was embarrassed the other day when someone asked if Dylan Morgan was based on him. I don’t think he’ll be recommending my books to people he knows again.

6)    When did you know you wanted to write a book?
When I was about six or seven I wrote a story about the adventures of two shoes (one had to go on and adventure to find the other!) After that I started writing more stories.

7)    What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?
I’m addicted to ice cubes. I have no idea why but I constantly eat them, even in winter.

8)    What’s your favorite outside activity?
I like geocaching with my youngest daughter and husband. Geocaching is a cross between treasure hunting and orienteering and she loves finding the ‘treasure’ in the caches.

9)    Of your series, which one is your favorite to write?
Blue Phoenix! I have had such a great response from readers who love the books and I love the fact I get to write stories about each band member. My favourite book in the series so far is Summer Sky because Sky is so different to the usual book girls. And because I like Dylan ;)

10)    What project are you working on now?
I am about to release Unplugged (Blue Phoenix #3) which is very different to the first two books because Liam is a completely different man to Dylan. I’m currently writing Rising (Blue Phoenix #4) which is different again because the main characters are pretty messed up by their pasts.
