“Good evening, Mr. Lowery,” Emmett says calmly, but the expression on his face looks like he’s ready to about-face and run as I peek around the kitchen corner.
“Emmett, come in,” Grandaddy says flatly, and I try to resist the urge to giggle. They make their way into the foyer. “Rae will be out in just a minute, but I wanted to talk to you first.”
“Yes, sir,” Emmett replies.
“I expect you to take care of her, Emmett Bridges. She’s a good girl, and I love her more than life itself. If you hurt her, by God, I’ll make you wish you never stepped foot back into Pleasant Hill. Got it?”
“Yes, sir.”
“A’ight. Now, have her home by eleven.”
“Will do, Mr. Lowery.”
“Sunshine!” Grandaddy hollers. “Emmett’s here.”
On that cue, I walk into the foyer to meet him. When I round the corner, I see him standing there in a pair of jeans and a fitted polo, holding a bouquet of daisies. I feel as if the world stops spinning when I see him. A smile spreads across his face, but I can see he’s trying to refrain from a real reaction with Grandaddy standing there.
“You look gorgeous, Raegan,” Emmett states as his smile continues to grow.

Review by Gia:
Southern Perfection is an awesome read!!! Casey Peeler has become one of the authors that I automatically one click whenever she publishes something. I loved the whole Full Circle series so I had to read Casey's newest book, Southern Perfection. Southern Perfection is great and I was not disappointed. It's definitely worth one clicking.Raegan is an amazing character. She has had a lot happen in her live. She is so put together. She's not your typical high schooler, she has a lot going on but keeps it;s all balanced.
Emmett is swoon worthy. He left town for a while and now he's back. He understands Raegan. He also is the only boy that Raegan has shown interest in.
I also loved Grandaddy. The love in Grandaddy and Raegan's relationship is one we all wish we had. Grandaddy is also a strong character, he doesn't miss a beat when he threatens Emmett with his shotgun. I'm not sure if he would really meet Emmett at the door with a shotgun if he didn't bring Raegan back on time but it sure did make me smile when I read it.
It's told in the dual POV of Raegan and Emmett. I love dual POVs because you can get into both Raegan and Emmett's heads and she what they are thinking.
It's a great sweet story that reminds you how important love and family are. It also an emotional roller coaster of a read and you might want to have some tissues near by just in case.
