About MC D’Alton:

My first name is Michelle, but I decided to write under the pen name of MC D’Alton. D’ Alton was the last name of my maternal great grandfather.I am cook, cleaner, taxi driver and all around go-to person in my household. I make sure to spend at least an hour each day writing. I am currently attempting to get a degree in writing.Born in South Africa, my husband and I packed up and moved to Australia in 2010.Besides being blessed with triplet boys, moving to a new country was both the greatest adventure, and adjustment of our lives. Raising three children of the same age left no room for my calling as a nurse and so I decided to concentrate on my second love – writing. My passion for writing about the fantastical and love swept, started at an early age.I lose myself in daydreams and what if’s whenever life spares a free minute.I am a huge romantic but also love drama, mystery, intrigue and the unknown. My Goal — to create worlds where people can escape to for a few precious moments, places where magic is the order of the day, and love is served on a silver platter.I hope you enjoy what is on offer.

Interview With MC D’Alton:

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
Memories of Love is a short, spicy contemporary romance with loads of suspense. Its a story that's been sitting in the corner of my imagination ever since I read about the story of Tristan and Isolde, as a young girl. I remember making them a promise that one day I would give them the happy ever after they deserved. While Memories of Love is not a modern day replica of this legend it is my ode to them.

2. What inspires you to write?
Honestly, I need to get all the voices outta my head! *Grin* I am a weaver of tales and if I cant tell them my heart breaks. A song by Ed Sheeren inspired a short story about Cupid once, it's called Calliope Jane. Dreams have inspired at least three of my books, and television, Penny Dreadful inspired Iron Heart. A sound, a smell, feeling, anything can simply flip that switch and an entire tapestry of what if's, where to's and adventure rolls out before me.

3. How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
That's like asking if I have a favorite child. Each one is special to me because each one fulfilled a dream, a hope and a wish came true.

4. Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?
I've never been one who's been comfortable with structure. Impulse is the Queen of my life. If I have a free moment, night or day, I will write. The moment I try to plan anything the threads of the tale slip from my fingers.

5. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Wine and dark chocolate (preferably the 70% cocoa and sea salt or chilli)

6. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
Anywhere I am comfortable, and have the least disturbances, a stunning view always helps.

7. If you had a superpower, what would it be?
I already do, read my books and you will see ;)

8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I am currently busy on book 2 of The Iron Universe (Iron Fist) a collaborative project with fellow author Melanie Page, preening Epona and slowly putting down words for a Contemporary Romance which takes place in South Africa (Based on my rural nursing days there.)
