As a child, I believed in the fairytales my father told me.
Until he was gone and with him, that belief.
As a girl, I believed in the friendship and protection of Aden.
He made me begin to believe again.
As a woman, I believed in the possibility of love and passion between myself and Aden.
Until he was gone and with him, my belief in magic and happy endings.
Aden
When she was a child, I was tasked with her protection.
As a girl, I became her friend.
As a woman, I could no longer see the child I knew and was forced to fight a growing attraction.
Unable to lie and unable to tell the truth, I left.
Now I’ve returned to give the knowledge I couldn’t before, that she is half Fae.
The darkness is stalking her and I am desperate to teach her what she needs to know to protect herself.
And determined to make her mine.

Chasing Hayleigh (release tentatively Oct 14th) --> http://bit.ly/1ImE2ym
Excerpt
“It doesn’t matter the reasons,
Brannon. You want me to give you my trust, well, it goes both ways.
You’ll just have to trust me when I say that I have boundaries and
if you can’t be comfortable with them, then we can’t have
anything at all.”
Oh, hell to the motherfucking no.
“Baby, you threw that option out
the window when you showed up on my doorstep. I’m not letting you
go, no more dancing around this. You’re mine. End of.”
Hayleigh’s eyes widen at my
little speech, but then they narrow menacingly, her brows dropping
deep over her frosty gaze. She opens her mouth to speak, but I keep
her silent with a finger on her lips. I trail the finger down her
silky cheek and then lower until I reach a nipple, then draw a circle
around it. I can vaguely see it hardening through her shirt and when
I brush across it, she gasps. I lean forward and place my lips on the
shell of her ear. “You’re body agrees with me. I bet if I slipped
my finger into your pussy, I’d find you drenched for me.”
I take the hand I’m holding and
place it over my rock hard cock, then shift it up and splay her hand
on my pounding heart, “And, I’m yours.”
Once again, I shut her down when
she tries to talk, “No, baby.” I growl. Her eyes get big again at
the rare gruff sound coming from me. “We’ve done this your way
for four years. We are going to do it my way now. You don’t have to
tell me everything right now. Eventually, you’ll trust me enough to
share it all with me. For now, you’re going to put your big girl
panties on,” I immediately push away the images of lacy shit that
pop into my mind, and rush on before she blisters me with the fury in
her eyes, “and give us a chance.”
“Let’s be clear about one
thing,” I continue, “I decide what is best for me, what my heart
can handle, whether I want to take a chance on us. That is my choice.
So, get rid of any ideas you have about wanting to spare me the hurt,
or thinking you know what I want, these are not your decisions to
make. These are just excuses for you to hide behind and I’m not
going to allow it. If you walk away, you’ll have to own it. Do you
understand?”
Joss Parker’s life is a fairy tale come true. She’s a concert pianist in
New York who lives with her longtime boyfriend and is close with her
fiercely protective father—until one fateful night when she is taken in
the middle of the night.
In a desperate attempt to access a program that could be a threat to national security, her ability to play the piano is threatened. Her world comes crashing down when her father puts his need to protect a program over his own daughter.
At the last minute, Joss finds herself whisked away by an unlikely ally.
She later lands in the protective custody of none other than small-town bad boy and bar owner Derek Slade. Slade is entrusted to look after Joss and see to it that she hides behind her new persona, Jill, so that bad people don’t find her ever again.
Joss has been erased. Joss is now Jill.
As Joss trades her blond locks for Jill’s mahogany ones, she also takes on the strength of her new persona. Jill is someone who doesn’t put up with crap. Jill doesn’t trust easily. Jill must protect the broken heart of Joss.
Joss and Slade battle an intense attraction, but she isn’t the only one with secrets. Behind Slade’s silver eyes are mysteries he’s unwilling to share. Slade knows better than to get involved with Joss, yet he finds it nearly impossible to push her away.
What happens when Slade crosses the line of protector? Can he protect her when the evils of both of their pasts come back to haunt them?

Give Me Yesterday (release September 25th) --> http://bit.ly/1i3hE36
Release event for Give Me Yesterday --> https://www.facebook.com/events/879915272099357/About Elle Christensen:
I'm
a lover of all things books, a hopeless romantic, and have always had a
passion for writing. Between being a sappy romantic, my love of an HEA,
my crazy imagination, and ok, let's be real, my dirty mind, I fell
easily into writing romance.
I'm
a huge baseball fan and yet, a complete girly, girl. I'm an obsessive
reader and have a slight (hahaha! Slight? Yeah, right) addiction to
signed books.
I'm
married to my very own book boyfriend, an alpha male with a sexy, sweet
side. He is the best inspiration, my biggest supporter and the love of
my life. He is also incredibly patient and understanding about the fact
that he has to fight the voices in my head for my attention.
I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Interview with Elle Christensen:
1.
Can you tell us a little
about your books?
I write a paranormal/fantasy romance, The Fae Guard, that
currently has books 1 & 2 published. It’s an unusual twist on fairy
folklore, with my brand of sarcastic humor, and it’s a lot of fun! I also have
two co-authored books with the fantastically awesome K. Webster! We released a
suspense romance, Erased, in December of last year. It’s fast paced, sexy, and has
its darker moments. Our second book releases September 25th and it’s
called Give Me Yesterday. It’s a contemporary romance, an ugly cry (fair
warning), but with humor and steaminess. My books all include a dirty talking
alpha, a strong heroine, and an HEA!
2.
When did you know you
wanted to write a book?
I started writing my first novel at 12. But, I but off more than I
could chew with that, (it was a historical! What was I thinking?) so it never
did get finished. I was a professional singer for most of my life, so writing
got put on the back burner. Once I decided to stop performing, I put my all
into writing.
3.
Do you ever experience
writer’s block?
OMG yes! I think all
writers do. I just sit there and stare at my screen…then usually, I go read a
book. Lol
4.
Do you work with an
outline, or just write?
I outline most of the
time. Even if it’s just a general bare bones of the story. However, most of the
time, it’s somewhat in depth. It keeps me from going off on tangents.
5.
Do you have a favorite
spot to write?
Anywhere with sun.
6.
Do you listen to music
while you write?
Sometimes. It really
depends on my mood and/or what I’m writing. I wrote a scene the other day with
a karaoke battle, so I listened to those songs the whole time.
7.
What do you do when you
are not writing?
Read and make swag. Lol.
Sometimes, I actually go outside…
8.
Do you have a
favorite TV show?
I Love Lucy &
Friends
9.
What writing projects
are you currently working on?
I just finished edits on Give Me Yesterday, and
now I am working to get Chasing Hayleigh (The Fae Guard #3) done.
