BLURB:

Ginger Thorn has lost everything.
Struggling to deal with the truth of her devastating divorce, which pales in comparison to the heartache she feels in losing her father, Ginger attempts to regain her once familiar life. She has decided to start fresh by moving into her father’s condo and taking a chance on a new business venture.
When Ginger reunites with her friend, Jasinda, she has no idea that this beguiling woman will help bring magic not only into her career path, but also a little spice into her love life. Ginger’s life gets a bit complicated, but she never suspected that fate, and possibly a bewitching spell from the Sacred Hearts Coven, will give her a shot at love.
Will their enchantment be enough to bring this lost soul a second chance, or will she let her shattered trust and heart stop her deepest desire?

This time sister Maiden Esmeralda asks her sisters to help her cast a spell to help friend and café patron Lilly fill her heart with something that lasts more than one date.
Lilly has spent the better part of a year going on one blind date after another. Esmeralda think she knows the perfect guy for her. The only problem is that she doesn’t want to set them up on another blind date. If only she could get them to meet in the coffee shop they both frequent on a daily basis.
When things don’t quite go right with Esmeralda’s spell, she doesn’t know what to do. Will some enchanted salted caramel syrup be enough to heat up Lilly’s love life, or will it lose steam? Her heart’s desires might only be a cup of coffee away.

Interview With Felicia Starr:

  1. Can you tell us a little about your book?

Jack and Ginger is the third story in the Sacred Hearts Coven series. The Sacred Hearts Coven books are about a coven of witches that cast a love spell to help bring a bit of romance into the lives of one luck recipient once a month. Each book can be read as a stand alone story. The main story line of each book is about a different couple. These books are for readers 18+

Ginger has experienced quite a bit of loss in her life in a relatively short amount of time. Jack and Ginger is about having an open heart to the possibilities of what the universe has to offer us. "…sometimes things that seem like they are good need to come undone so that you can put better things together in their place…”

  1. Which one of your series is your favorite?

I don’t know if I can say that I have a favorite because they are so different. Although the Sacred Hearts Coven books have a touch of magic, they are really steamy contemporary romance. The first book – Dark and Stormy is an unexpected work place romance; the second book – Light and Sweet is a romantic comedy.

Breaking the Darkness on the other hand is a bit darker. It doesn’t fit in a neat genre box. I guess the best way to describe it would be a Supernatural Thriller/Paranormal Romance. I love this series because it has everything I want in a story. It has suspense, romance, family secrets, mythical creatures like gargoyles and dragons. It also has metaphysical elements that many believe to be real like astral projection and ghost. I will tell you that I love a good cliffhanger and it shows by the way I end each of these books. I do promise that I wont leaving you hanging when the final book is written.

  1. Do you have any “odd” writing habits?

I don’t think so.

  1. Do you listen to music while you write?

I do listen to music when I write. I can only listen to music when it through a pair of headphones. If it is on an external radio I find it distracting. When I wear the headphones it helps to block out the other distractions around me.

  1. How did you choose the genre you write in?

I’m not sure I chose them, I think that the genres chose me. That might be why I find it hard to describe what genre I write in. I don’t think that I write with a specific genre or audience in mind. I let my characters dictate what will happen.

  1. When did you know you wanted to write a book?

I have wanted to write a book for as long as I could remember. One of my childhood friends and I talked about doing it for years. After I read Dannika Dark’s Sterling I found her on Facebook. She was open about things that inspired her and made the process of novel writing more human. I was then introduced to the possibilities of self-published authors. Through some supportive emails between Dannika Dark and Amber Lynn Natusch, I decided I would try and see if I could do it. Amber Lynn told me if I wrote it she would read it. How could I not see it through to completion? The funny thing is I still have not sent her a copy. I now have six published books. But I swear one day I will get that book in the mail to her.

  1. What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?

Hmmm. I love research. I miss being in college and working on research papers. Now the research I do is for my books.

  1. What's the last book you read?

I don’t read nearly as much I used to. I am not sure what the last book I actually finished was. I am in the middle of several books. Right now I have been using my reading time to go through submissions for a Hot Ink Press anthology I am working on called Rock Hard. It will be a collection of erotic shorts that revolve around different parts of the music scene.

  1. What do you do when you are not writing?

All of my time that I am not working on writing, researching, or marketing is spent with my family. I have two little boys that have more energy than I know what to do with.

  1. What are writing projects are you currently working on?

I have been toying around with a few different WIP’s the past month or two. The one I think my head has settled into is top secret for now. I can say that it is different from anything else I have written so far. You might want to check back with me around Christmas time for more information. And of course I am working on the Erotica Anthology. It is set to release in February 2015. I am hoping to have a summer 2015 release date for book #3 in the Breaking the Darkness Series.
