Interview with Tara L. Ames:
1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
I write contemporary romance with hot military heroes and sexy strong-willed heroines. The first three books in the ALPHA AVIATORS SERIES take place primarily in Key West and center around two friends, Luke Hastings and Michael Merrick and Michael's sister Gabby. Michael and Luke are both Naval Aviators, and once you meet them, you'll be drooling for more. Both men have a mission. Michael needs a distraction and what's better than a blue-eyed blonde with a hot bod' for rockin'? For Luke, sex is his number one flightpath until a shy, sexy engineer pulls him off course and shakes his world upside down in more ways than one. Gabby, a chef and restaurant owner, is determined to find out if the bartender she just hired is in fact the love of her life who was reported dead in Afghanistan a few years back.
2. How many books have you written?
I've written three books and will be releasing THE SOUL SHAKER, book 4 in ALPHA AVIATORS SERIES, in April and a short story in an anthology titled You + Me, due out this summer. Which is your favorite? Hmm, that's a tough one. I love them all, but if I had to choose I would have to pick THE DREAM MAKER, book 3 in the series.
3. Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?
My best writing occurs in the morning.
4. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Absolutely...coffee!!
5. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
In the family room. I can look out my window and see all kinds of wild birds: storks, herons, egrets, Egyptian geese, and Mr. Nasty Laguna-LOL
6. Which of your characters would you like to meet in person and why?
Another tough question. It would have to be Luke Hastings in THE HEART BREAKER, book 2 in the ALPHA AVAITORS SERIES. He's a bad boy...my teaser line for the series primarily refers to him. He may have his wings but he's no angel!
7. Who was your childhood hero?
My dad. He was always there when I needed him as a child.
8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I'm finalizing THE SOUL SHAKER, book 4 in the ALPHA AVIATOR SERIES and Ocean Rescue, a short story to be featured in You + Me Summer Anthology. Plus, I'm plotting a 3 book series centering around--Navy SEALS and another short story to be featured in another anthology this coming Fall.
