Best:The Change Series, Book 3 by Melanie Jayne
Date of Publication: May 16, 2017
Blurb
I have a new name in a new city.
Tye and I agreed to be friends only. Now he sleeps in my bed every night, holding me close, protectively. After everything that I've been through, I'm not sure that I can handle more, besides he isn't a relationship kind of guy. I'm not even sure why he's here with me.
I saw Billie and wanted her immediately. I know that she has secrets but getting to know her is like unwrapping a gift, slower is better. Her scars run deep and every day is a struggle. I want to help her, to protect her from those that want to hurt her. I tell myself that's why I'm holding her every night.
We're just friends… It's for the Best that way.
Isn't it?

What’s Next?
By Melanie Jayne
I’m going to
tell you the truth about writing Romance. It’s not about what you are
releasing, it’s all about the future. The third book in the Change Series, Best comes out this week. To me it
feels like I should say, “Finally.”
I started
writing this book back in October and finished in November. It’s been through
rounds of edits, proof-reads, cover creation, and blurb writing. I’ve written
more books since then in this series and I had to go back and do a re-read so
that I remembered everything that was going on with Billie and Tye at this
point in time.
I’m telling
you this because I learned after the release of my first book that I could bask
in that accomplishment for about two days and then, the question would come:
“What are you working on now?”
Now I’m
ready for that question. I have a book releasing, another in the editing
process while I write one and then there’s the outlining of the one after that.
It’s truly a juggling act especially when you work between three different
series.
I took the
month of December off from writing last year, thinking that I deserved a rest.
It was a mistake. I missed it, and then it took me about two and a half weeks
to get back into the routine. So now, I have a schedule and I work year round.
Of course I can modify it because my muse likes to shake things up so that I’m
scrambling. I think it’s how she keeps me humble.
I am
incredibly lucky to be doing what I love, bringing these stories and characters
that haunt my mind to life. For me, writing isn’t a hobby; it’s now something
that I must do. It’s also a business and I had to learn quickly to respect
everything that it encompasses. Romance readers like books, books and more
books. They want the next one, now. Which is wonderful but it takes time to
produce. That’s why I had to learn to work ahead and to keep to my schedule.
So now you
know- when you hear your favorite author say that she had to go back and
re-read her newest release, she isn’t having memory issues, she’s just been
busy writing more- for you.
