Interview With Nikki Belaire:
1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
I write romantic
suspense, all featuring mobsters so far. Who doesn't love bad boys with
guns and power, whose only weaknesses are the women they love? My first
two books are more romantic angst with bursts of danger. The second duet
is grittier featuring a mafia princess who falls in love with a
bodyguard.
2. What inspires you to write?
I always have hundreds of little stories floating in my head. I start
writing down the idea and see if it morphs into a full fledged story.
3. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
When my characters wouldn't stop talking to me! LOL!
4. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
I outline in my mind but not on paper. LOL! I just start writing and
see what happens. I begin with the dialogue and then fill in around it
to make the chapter. It's kind of strange but seems to work. :)
5. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Wine of course. I never turn down dessert either! :)
6. If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Mind reader!
7. Are you attending any Author Signing Event?
I don't have any currently booked but I hope to participate in one soon. :)
8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
My next book is a stand alone, titled Straight, No Chaser. It's a
little darker than I normally write so I'm excited about pushing myself
to try something new.
