Forever My Girl (#1) – Released Dec 2012
Now being made into a major motion picture
I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.
I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.
And now I’m going back.
After ten years.
I hope I can explain that after all this time.
I still want her to be my forever girl.
Review:
I have read other books by Heidi McLaughlin by I had yet to read The Beaumont Series. I thought it was about time to check the series out. When I started reading it, I was hooked. I fell in love with Liam and Josie's story pretty quickly. I didn't want to put it down but unfortunately life prevented me from getting to read it as much as I wanted to. So, for the first time I downloaded the audible version and was able to do life things while listening to the story. The story is told in the dual POVs of Liam and Josie and the audio version also switches back and forth too.
Liam returns to Beaumont after being gone for 10 years. When he left, he didn't keep contact with anyone. Josie was his girl back then. A lot has happened in the ten years he was gone. After Liam left Josie was shattered and worked hard to pick up the pieces. With Liam back in town old feelings resurface. At the time Liam comes back, Josie has a boyfriend (Nick) and I really felt bad for him but I was still rooting for Josie and Liam. Liam and Josie have some ups and down and a lot to work through which makes it a great read.

Review
When I was reading Forever My Girl, I felt bad for Nick and was hoping that he had a book in the series. I was glad to see this one was about Nick. This one is a short quick read. I really loved that we get to see what Nick has been up to and that he finds love.

My Unexpected Forever (#2) – Released Sept 2013
I expected a life of music.
I expected to raise my son.
It took one look to make everything change.
I never expected happiness.
I never expected to find her.
I never expected to feel desire.
I never expected I’d be a family man.
I never expected to be loved.
I never expected to fall in love.
They say you should expect the unexpected, I didn’t realize my unexpected would be the forever kind.
Review
Wow, I loved this one. We meet Harrison and Katelyn in Forever My Girl but this one is their story and we learn a lot more about them. Harrison is the drummer for 4225 West. Harrison has a son Quinn. Katelyn has been through a lot. The love of her life Mason passed away and she has two twin daughters. Katelyn is a strong person. She has feelings for Harrison but has issues balancing it with her love for Mason and her girls. I loved to see that Harrison and Katelyn's kids got along. Their relationship slowly forms.
I listened to most of this book through audible. There were some parts that listening to it made the story more emotional for me. There was a part that I had tears and I rarely cry because of a book. Even though it was tough to read/listen to some of Katelyn's struggles, Harrison and Katelyn's story was a great read.
