 Interview With Laura N. Andrews:
  1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
My first book, This Time, is the start of my romantic, Timeless Love series. Because each book changes focus on different main characters I’m not limiting myself on a certain number of books. Every character has their own story and there’re always new characters that we’re introduced to. I have no idea how many I’ll write for this series and I love that!
My publisher, Hot Tree Publishing, has started a, “Trade Me” book collection and each month a new book is released. The collection is m/m romance with one or both men having a trade. My book, Forever You, releases October 22nd as the third in the collection.
  1. Where do you get your ideas?
Sometimes they’re completely random and I have no idea how they pop into my head. Other times it’s an image, a person, a song, or another story that has given me inspiration.
  1. What do you do when you are not writing?
During the week I work full-time as a pharmacy assistant. On the weekend (if I’m not reading or writing) I either like to watch movies, hang out with family or go to an AFL football game. Mind you, I only go if my team The West Coast Eagles are playing. I also relish a great night with the girls whether it’s a movie night in, or a night out drinking cocktails.
  1. Do you ever experience writer’s block?
Thankfully not really. Funnily enough, as much as I’d love only to write, I think working full-time allows me to clear my head and devote my time to writing when it’s available. However if I am a little stuck, I’ll give myself a little break and maybe go outside for a walk.
  1. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
To start off I just write. I might create a timeline after I’ve written something and then use that to organise the storyline. I also like to draw up a flow chart of all of the characters to see how they’re all connected.
  1. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I’ve loved writing for as long as I can remember. I still have some picture books I wrote when I was nine or ten years old. At the moment I’m going back and reading some stories I started writing when I was in high school.
  1. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Coffee! I absolutely love a good coffee, especially when I’m writing. That said, an espresso martini or a glass of red would go down just as well!
  1. If you could spend 24 hours as a fictional character, who would you chose?
If I could be any fictional character I’d choose Sascha Duncan from Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling series. To live in her world of humans, changelings and psy would be awesome. Plus, having Lucas Hunter as my hunky mate would be mighty fine!
  1. What writing projects are you currently working on?
Just recently, I sent my publisher the second book in my Timeless Love series. For now, I’m working on the third book and also in the process of starting another series which will be a young adult, paranormal trilogy.
