My name is Laura and I am dreamer, the kind that walks around all day and likes to go back and forth, from the real world to her own little world.
I have two kids and a fantastic partner. We work together in our little shop in Italy, near the beach.
When I am not busy working or being a mommy, I like to fantasize about new characters and new stories I'd like to write.

Interview With Laura Rossi:

 

   1.     Can you tell us a little about your books?

I write different genres, depending on my mood or what’s happening in my life.

I have a sport romance series out called Counterpoints (set in motorsports world) and a novella called Born to Run.

Then I wrote a dark romance mafia series set between Rome, Naples and Greece: Skins, Scars, Filomena and Crux are the names of the four books. Each book can be read as a standalone but of course reading in this order really gives you an insight of the De la Crux Famiglia.

And lastly I wrote a fun, sweet and sexy romcom called Finding Melodie about a street artist and a banker, set in beautiful London.

    2.     How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

I’ve written 10 books so far, currently writing another two. I can’t pick a favourite, because they are all a part of me and they are all special in different ways. Counterpoints series was the first book I’ve ever published, the dark novels reflect my courage to experience and write complex characters and Finding Melodie is my funny side.

    3.     If someone who hasn't read any of you books yet, which one would you suggest they read first?

Because they are all so very different, I’d ask the person what is their favourite genre and advice them accordingly.

     4.     If you could be friends with one of your characters, which one would you choose?

Female character I’d love to have Andrea from Skins and Melodie from Finding Melodie as friends, male characters definitely Christopher from Counterpoints and Ramirez from Crux.

    5.     Do you work with an outline, or just write?

I usually work with an outline first but sometimes I get an idea that changes the whole plot and work on that as I go.

    6.     Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?

No, when I’m writing I don’t eat or drink, sometimes I listen to music.

    7.     If  you could spend 24 hours as a fictional character, who would you chose?7. If you had a superpower, what would it be?

Catherine from Wuthering Heights.

I have superpowers already, I’m a fulltime working mom of two kids and a writer lol

    8.     What  writing projects are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on two/three projects: A psychological thriller called Black Canvas, a romcom called The Wedding and a novella from the dark mafia series. I also have a dystopian in the works.
