About Ali Winter:
Ali
Winters is the USA Today bestselling author and author of the
bestselling series, The Hunted, as well as an amazon and international
bestselling author. She was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest
where she developed her love of nature, animals, and all things green.
For as long as she can remember, she's been mesmerized by the extraordinary world of books and fantasy. There has never been a time when stories were not begging to be told, either by drawing, photography, or writing.
With encouragement from one of her favorite authors, she jumped in, head first, to pursue the career that had been calling to her since the day she opened her first book.
She has a deep love for coffee, tea, warm blankets, dogs, creating art in any medium she can get her hands on, and family.

Interview With Ali Winters:
1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
My
books are all some sub genre of fantasy, ranging from dystopian, epic
urban fantasy, paranormal romance, to high fantasy. I love adding
different twists to each subject I write about.
2. What inspires you to write?
I was an avid reader since I first learned to read, and that developed my huge love of stories as well as my
active imagination and a desire to create stories in some form. Writing
just happened to be the form that allowed me the most freedom to create
endless worlds.
3. For someone who hasn't read any of you books yet, which one would you suggest they read first?
That depends on their tastes. The Reapers (book one in THE HUNTED series) is an epic urban fantasy.
Sound of Silence is a YA, Romeo and Juliet retelling with aliens, a virus, and zombies in a dystopian world.
4. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
I
am a heavy plotter. I usually start off with a vague idea and write it
down, then transform it into a skeleton outline with bullet
points(roughly 2-3k) then I will sort those points out via chapter and
flesh them out further in great detail. I've have had an outline as
massive as 27k long. That way it's easier for me to catch potential
problems
5. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Coffee
in the morning, then water after that. Though in the winter I tend to
drink a lot of tea as well. Other than that, I don't tend to eat
anything particular.
6. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
For
the most part I do my writing in my little corner office. Every once in
a while, if I find myself getting distracted I will take my laptop to
another room and try to write there for a few days. Just as a way to
reset my focus when I'm in my office.
7. If you had a superpower, what would it be?
To
never need to sleep. I could write so many more books if I never had to
stop to do things like sleep. lol I have so many ideas in my head that
I'm dying to get out it could really come in handy!
8. What writing projects are you currently working on?
Right now I am working on book one of The Vampire Debt series. Which I've been describing as: "Dracula and Beauty and the Beast meets Pride and Prejudice in THE VAMPIRE DEBT, a six book New Adult, paranormal romance"
You can even read the first (unedited) chapter up on the website now! www.thevampiredebt.com
