Featured Author: Diana Nixon

Welcome Today's Featured Author
Diana Nixon!!

It was supposed to be just another day at work for a local newspaper reporter, Stella Holt. She had always loved her job, and believed she was good at it. Until one day when she was sent to interview the author of a worldwide bestseller who had made so many women fall in love with him.
James Collins is not just a word-painter. His every work is a masterpiece, a perfect blend of mystery and mind-blowing romance. Only in his own life, there is no place for romance. He knows everything about women, starting from what they like most, and to the ways to seduce them with only a glance. But there’s a secret that has been aggrieving him for years, a secret that has locked his heart forever…
“I thought I would never fall in love with you, Stella. And I didn’t… I drowned in you…”

It was love at first sight; a story that was supposed to last forever. A young heart that had never known true love, and a lonely soul seeking something real. I was that soul, and Elizabeth Brown was my beautiful heart, innocent and full of lawless passion. She made me believe that love can change anything. And it did change me… It broke me, it shattered me.
The betrayal that I never saw coming, was like a dagger straight through my heart. In the blink of an eye, my love was replaced by endless hate and pain that I thought I would never be able to forget.
But who would have thought that even bleeding hearts can love? Who would have believed that in eyes with no hope, a new fire can start burning?
“I will make her fall for me again. And then, I will ruin her, just like she ruined me…”

Interview With Diana Nixon:

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
I started writing about seven years ago. My ‘fictional’ career started with Love Lines – a fantasy story of a young girl, Eileen Clark, whose life changes the day she finds out about her supernatural powers. Since then, I have written 19 more books. Most of them are contemporary romances, but from time to time, I get back to writing something more magical :) My stories are full of emotions, passion, love, drama and sometimes suspense. My characters are strong and they always know what they want. Their lives might be complicated, but in the end, they find what they have been looking for :)

2. What inspires you to write?
My life is my main source of inspiration: my kids, my love, my friends, and my readers of course. Inspiration is such a weird thing - it hits you when you less expect it and never show up when you are waiting for it lol

3. How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
Like I said, I’m the author of 20 stories. Each and every of them is special. Because every time I create a new story, I put a lot of myself into it. I laugh and cry with my characters, so naturally, I love all of them. But there were books that needed more attention than the others. Like From Scratch – a short story from my Love Lines series. It was a book dedicated to one particular character – Evan Murray. He’s a strong-willed guy, with a great sense of humor and a beautiful soul. His life is far from being a piece of cake. Despite that, he’s a wonderful friend and a person who will never let those he loves down. From Scratch was written from a male’s POV, and it’s always hard to get into a male’s head and think like a man :) Another story that made me feel a whole range of emotions was Love Undone. One day Kassie wakes up and realizes that the biggest part of her memories are gone. But there’s a guy who seems to know a lot about her. Daniel helps her get used to her new life, but he has secrets and hidden intentions in helping Kassie. And only time can tell if getting her memories back is a good thing or not. When working on Set Me Free duet, I wanted to show just how much power true love has, and that even irreparably broken hearts can be healed if they beat for love again. LOUISE duet was special in every sense of the word, because the story of Louise – a girl raised in an orphanage who always wanted to become a dancer, combines different life situations that are not common at all, but it’s what makes this story so different, and I truly enjoyed writing it. SHATTERED series title speaks for itself :) It’s stories are heartbreaking and full of drama, but there’s a lot of things in them that will make you swoon and smile.

4. Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?
Well, my days normally start with a big cup of coffee when checking my e-mails and social media.
But I’m a mom of two little girls who require a lot of attention, so my writing schedule depends on them. When working on a new project, I try to write every day. But after the book is ready, I always give myself a short break to clear my head and get myself ready to dive into a different story.

5. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
Chocolate, always :)

6. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
I can write anywhere. The main thing is to have some privacy, which is nearly impossible with the two kids running around the house. But I managed to learn how to find time for everything. Multitasking is my superpower, that’s for sure LOL

7. If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Speaking of my superpowers again… :) But to be honest, I wish I had a magic stick able to make everyone’s wishes come true.

8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
At the moment, I’m working on SERENE – the third story from Shattered Series. It’s about a successful plastic surgeon who falls in love with a blind girl. This story is special in my many ways. First of all, because I never did THAT much research for a book :)

Here’s the blurb of SERENE:
I used to think that my life was a picture of perfection. I had everything a twenty-five-year-old woman could wish for: a loving family, friends, a dream job and a fiancé who thought the world of me.
Until the day I lost it all… Including my ability to see.
The car accident took away not just my vision, but also a part of me that I was sure I would never be able to get back.
And then I met him… Stanley Burke. A kind of a man I thought didn’t exist anymore: understanding, loving, supportive and generally too good to be true.
Without effort, he breathed life into my frozen heart, making it beat faster than ever before.
He became a light that my eyes would never see again. He made me feel things that were long lost and forgotten.
Only I couldn’t give him what he deserved.
Because in my pitch-dark world, there was no place for love…
“I’ve never been so scared of losing someone in my entire life… Then again, I’ve never had anyone as important as you are to lose…”
