The Lies Between Us

Running away has always been something I'm good at.

I've run far away from home and back again thinking that each time would be the last.

But things are a lot different lately. I've learned that tides turn, seasons change, and sometimes, people do too.

I haven't seen Hoyt Blackburn in a decade because I was so convinced he wasn't worth my time anymore. I guess this is where I've changed since I found out that his execution is one of those inevitable things that life handed him. I can't ever remember him being a bad man, yet I can't shake that something isn't right about what's happening to him.

Maybe it's because I miss him.

Maybe it's because I wanna lay eyes on the man one last time.

Will he remember me? Will he even care? I don't know; the only thing I can honestly say for sure is that there are still some secrets we have left between us that have to be spoken before he draws his last breath. Otherwise, when that day comes, they may have just killed me too.

Interview With Yolanda Olson

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
Well they range from dark to why is this even happening. I like to keep my readers on my toes and switch things up on them a lot so that's fun.

2. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I actually wrote my first one just because I was bored one day. Then I sent it to my sister when it was half done and she said she really wanted to know what happened, so I finished it.

3. How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
To be honest, I've lost count, but Unwound will always be my favorite.

4. Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?
Nope. Whenever time allows or when the mood hits me is when I go for it.

5. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
I don't eat when I'm writing. As for drinking it's usually coffee or water for the most part.

6. If  you could spend 24 hours as a fictional character, who would you chose?
Pandora from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Why? Because Marius lol

7. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?
Moments in Oblivion is a collection of four short horror stories, so that would be ideal honestly. If not, most of my new readers found me after Inferno.

8. What's the hardest scene you have ever written?
Chapter 6; BONES.

9. If you were a super-hero, what power would you have?
I don't wanna be a superhero. Too much responsibility lol

10. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I'm trying so hard to finish The Lies Between Us. That's my next release and it's shaping up to be a beast of a book!
