Interview With E Kay Sims:
1. Can you tell us a little about your book?
It's
a military romance with elements of Sci-fi, about a female soldier who
is turned into a cyborg against her will after a horrific accident
while on the job while serving in the Air Force. Her memory is wiped
clean while her fiance and family are informed she is dead.
She fights to regain her memories and her life.
2. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I've been writing since I was in grade school. I've always been writing and fantasizing about writing a book.
3. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
Both. Sometimes I outline a book, other times the mood strikes and I just write to see where it will go.
4. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
I
have a few favorite spots to write. Usually at my desk in the foyer or
on my back patio facing the garden or sitting in the recliner by the
fireplace on cold days.
5. Do you listen to music while you write?
Yes,
most of the time. I create a playlist with a song for each chapter that
sets the mood of the chapter and publish it on spotify. Its like a
soundtrack for the book.
6. If you ever experience a case of writer's block, how do you cure it?
Take a walk, listen to music, get a mani/pedi, practice yoga or meditate. Sometimes all of the above.

If your fairy godmother waived her wand and whisked me away to the
location of your choice, which location would you choose and why?
Well,
firstly, I would have a fairy godfather and he would be handsome as sin
with an Australian accent and look like Thor. And for location, I would
choose Australia because I've never been and I really want to go there,
plus I have a dear author friend who lives there. I've seen pictures of
how beautiful Australia is and my author friend and I have a secret
project we're working on.
8. What are writing projects you are currently working on?
I'm
working on the sequel to Eve of Destruction Book One, which is titled
Knights of Destruction and is part of my series, Soldiers of
Destruction. I'm also working on a spin-off series, The Ghost Warriors
Redemptions Series. And of course the secret project.
