Saving Bliss - releasing November 27, 2016

“If I need protection from anyone it’s from him.”

“I need to find a way to keep her safe without compromising my heart.”

OWEN HUDSON
I was hired to protect her. I was told to keep her safe, shadow her every move, and keep my eyes open at all times. He wouldn't tell me from what, or whom. He wouldn’t even admit she was in danger. It turns out, she is. So am I. Now, I'm falling for her, and that changes everything. I need to find a way to keep her safe without compromising my heart.

BLISS COOPER
I don't need a babysitter or a bodyguard. I can take care of myself. If I had wanted a roommate I would have one, and it wouldn't be him. He's too... intriguing. Stubborn. Sexy. If I need protection from anyone it's from him. He sees too much, knows too much, and the way he looks at me is causing the walls I've built around my heart to weaken. I need him to back off, but I want him closer.

Interview With Rachael Brownell

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
I write all "clean" romance. I have a 4 book series of YA romance, a duet of romantic suspense and a handful of stand-alone romance novels.

2. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
I've always written in some form. I tried my hand at poetry in high school - it turned out awful. I also wrote the beginning of a novel in high school that I came across as my son was entering kindergarten and I rewrote it, turning it into Holding On, book one in my YA series.

3. Do you have a favorite character to write about?
I love, love, love writing about strong females. There's something about empowering a woman that brings a smile to my face and the words flow.

4. What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?
Hmmm... Well, I got married this past August. It's random in my opinion since I've been with my husband for almost 12 years.

5. Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?
I always have a cup of coffee close when I write, no matter what time of day it is. Candy is my go-to when writing. I either have Swedish Fish or Red Vines in my office at all times. I'm out right now... planning a trip to the store as I write this.

6. How do you come up with your characters names?

I like to name my characters after people I meet. If I meet someone and I love their name, they get to be in a book. It's that simple. In the industry I work in, I meet new people every day. Some have average, boring name like I do. Others have names I fall in love with. When that happens, I study them, their mannerisms, and a character is born.

7. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?
Normally I would suggest starting with Holding On because it's free, but the last few books I've release have been a great representation of how I've grown as an author. Jumping Puddles is my favorite book to date. That's where I would start. Warning: It'll make you cry. I hand out tissue packs as swag when people buy this book.

8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
It's November so I have a #nano project this month. It's on the back burner as I complete Chasing Fate, my bucket list book as I like to call it. Once that's done, I'll work on The Jane Project. That was my slated NaNo project. It's about a girl who's going to her high school reunion to face the bullies who tormented her in high school.
