A SEAL's Desire by Tawny Weber

Subject: Petty Officer Christian "Cowboy" Laramie
Mission: Locate a missing person…without seducing the man's fiancée!
Navy SEAL Christian Laramie knows everything about explosives, including how to avoid them. But he sure as hell isn't prepared for Sammi Jo Wilson—all gorgeous red hair and long-legged sexiness—in a wedding dress, asking him to find her kidnapped fiancé. Yep, he is definitely dealing with one dangerous bombshell…
Laramie has a rep for thoroughly pleasing the ladies, but he's not interested in emotional entanglements. He has rules—and engaged women are a definite no-no. Yet the searing heat between him and Sammi is like nothing he's ever experienced. Each touch gets hotter. Each kiss more intense. And if Laramie can't disarm this desire, it will blow up in the only way possible…in bed!

Interview With Tawny Weber:

Thanks SO much for having me here to share a little about my books and writing. I love meeting readers and talking books!

  1. Can you tell us a little about your book?
I write a Sexy SEAL series of books about hot, alpha heroes and the women strong enough to handle them. My latest is A SEAL’s Desire, and features a cowboy SEAL returning to his hometown where an old friend—a sexy, tempting female friend—begs him to help rescue her missing fiancé. It was a fun friends-to-lovers story to write and gave me a chance to enjoy the Cowboy world for a while. Yee haw!

  1. What got you into writing?
A voracious reader and longtime obsessive romance book hoarder, I was at a career turning point. That’s when my husband asked me about my dream job- if I could do or be anything in the world that I wanted, what would it be. The answer? A romance author.

I took some writing classes, joined Romance Writers of America and dove in. It took a couple of years for me to sell my first book to Harlequin. I’ve had over 40 published since 2007.

  1. How did you choose the genre you write in?
When I began writing, the advice was to write what you love. I love contemporary romance and I love paranormal romance so I felt that I had to choose. At the time, the word on the street was that paranormal was dead, so I focused on contemporary. Of course, Twilight hit the shelves a year or so later and proved the street wrong <g> but by then I’d sold Double Dare and was focused on finding a contemporary readership.

  1. For the Uniformly Hot SEALs series, do they need to be read in order or can they be read as standalones?
My Sexy SEALs can be read in any order, stand alone or one after the other like chocolate chip cookies.

  1. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?
I’m one of those readers who loves to start at the beginning and binge my way through books, so for readers like me, I’d suggest starting with A SEAL’s Seduction. For readers who love mixing it up, I’d suggest closing their eyes and randomly choosing any one to check out. I love them all so I can’t say that I have a favorite to recommend.

  1. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
I write on my iPad Pro, so I’ve found that this comfy spot in the corner of the living room is my favorite. Its close enough to the kitchen for snacking comfort but quite enough to keep me from being distracted. Since I tend to write surrounded by dogs, I don’t leave my seat too often or it starts a stampede, so I get a pretty decent number of pages written each session there.

  1. Are you doing any Author Signing Event this year?
I was at the RT Booklovers Convention earlier this year and will have a lot of author events lined up early next year, but don’t have anything on the schedule for the rest of 2016. If anyone would like to check out my 2017 schedule to see what’s coming, though, I’ll be announcing first on my website at: http://tawnyweber.com/appearances

  1. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I’m SO excited about the new series I’ll be launching with HQN the first of next year called The SEAL Brotherhood. These books are much longer and more intense than most of my backlist, and have been a delight to write. The first is titled Call to Honor and will be out in February, but I also have a prequel novella titled Night Maneuvers that’ll be released in December. I love the freedom of writing these longer, more intense stories and the ability to delve into some of these issues, like single parenthood, betrayal, PTSD and, of course, the SEAL Brotherhood and what that means to each man. The books all feature alpha heroes, strong conflicts and, of course, some steamy love scenes.
