Welcome Today's Featured Author
Sadie Grubor!!

SNARE
Sidra Campbell lives by a hump-him-and-dump-him rule. No love, no messy emotional strings, means no chance of losing control – again. She came to L.A. to support her cousin Liza, but she's also running from the vicious cycle she left behind in Pennsylvania.
Unfortunately for her, two men aren't making life easy. One invokes the haunting nightmare of a past she's fought hard to be a survivor and not a victim. And another so tempting, so persuasive, she reinforces the wall around her heart and dons her mask to keep the behemoth out. To everyone else, she appears confident and happy, but they’re always the ones hiding the deepest pain.
Xavier Stone, former drummer to one of the greatest rock bands, Corrosive Velocity, has suffered loss after loss. Finding himself a full-time dad and in threat of losing once again, he's barely hanging on.
There's one woman who creates a spark of interest so strong he can't seem to keep his hands to himself. She hates him. At least, that's what the mask of insults and indifference she wears wants him to believe, but her kiss tells another story. Xavier has lost too much. She may not be happy about it and can run all she wants, but Xavier's done losing.
When two explosive personalities collide, one runs and the other snares.

Excerpt: (Xavier POV)

Not giving a shit that her family is witnessing the moment, I advance. In one long stride, I reach out and grab her by the back of the head. Fisting her hair, I tilt her face to mine.
"I hate the way you just accept it," I grumble.
"Fat girls are used to superficial judgments," she whispers.
"Don't," I warn, tightening my hold on her hair, not enough to hurt her, just enough to get my point across.
Her tongue peeks out, wetting her lips.
"It's okay," she reassures, but her eyes tell another story.
Emotions storm in her blue eyes, strength battling against pain and hurt.
"Tiger, I'm so thankful you're strong enough to brush this shit off, but it's not, nor will it ever be, okay for anyone to talk about you that way," I inform.
There's a small jerk to her body, a nervous movement. Her eyes glance to our observers and then back to me.
"Okay," she concedes, placing her hands on my chest and patting.
She's fucking placating me.
Stowing my phone in the pocket of my coat, I take her face in both my hands and lock my eyes on hers, keeping them captive, making sure I have her full attention.
"Christ, Sid, you smell like the best summer day, look like the wickedest thing I could ever choose to sin with, and sound like the best fucking porno soundtrack when I'm deep inside you."
The air between us grows thicker, heavier, and, I swear to God, sweeter.
Her mouth parts on a shaky breath. Chest heaving, she bites her bottom lip.
"Oh my," Sid's mother says on a breath.
A throat clears from behind me and our surroundings return.
The gleam flashing in her eyes gives away her evil intentions. If there's anything I know for sure about Sid, it's her habit of using humor to hide her emotions.
"AVN Award worthy?" she asks, making me smile.
Licking my lips, I bring my face closer, and whisper, "No, 'cause I'm the only fucking one who's gonna hear it."
"Well, the boy definitely knows how to speak to her," Sid's father states.
"He sure does," her mother sighs.

Interview With Sadie Grubor:

1. Can you tell us a little about your books?

Currently, I've published contemporary romances. A multi-millionaire & a Baker ending up married in Vegas. Childhood loves who get a second chance; An heir who needs a wife & makes the arrangement to have one; A live in nanny who ends up with more than just a charge to take care of; and an entire crew of rock stars and their friends falling fast and hard.  If any of that appeals to you, then you may be into my books.

2. How did you choose the genre you write in?

I think it sort of found me.  The idea for a particular character and a situation takes form and I just go with it.  The full story develops from there.  This is so true, that I'm about to put myself into another subgenre of romance:  dystopian/scifi.

3. When did you know you wanted to write a book?

I had drifted away from reading as much as I used to.  So, when I picked up reading again, the way I'd used to when I was younger, it was a weird urge/need that formed.  Ideas started to form after reading books, wanting to make the stories play out the way I desired them.  From there, my work was born.

4.  Do you have a favorite character to write about?

They each have a special place in my heart for different reasons. Each one of them took hold and owns a part of me.  However, I will admit that writing my latest heroine, Sidra 'Sid' Campbell, has been - by far - the most liberating and freeing experience.  I adore her on a level of feeling the most like her.

5.  For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?

I always like to introduce readers to my rock star series, in which the main books can be read as standalones, but I always suggest starting from the beginning.  The characters show up throughout the series and it's always more fun to know everyone's story and full connection to each other.  Or is that just me?

6.  Do you work with an outline, or just write?

My preference is to do what I call a short-line, which gives me a general idea of start middle finish.  Then I like to do some character outlining - appearance, education, grew up in, etc.  However, as soon as I start writing it really all goes to shit and the characters take over.  I like to pretend that I control things, but the characters often make me their bitch.

7.  Do you have a favorite food or drink you must have nearby when writing?

Gummy Bears!!!!   Haribo brand gummy anything really:  regular, sour, snakes, etc.  I have a small gummy candy obsession.  My other love is Swedish Red Fish.  My drink of choice varies.

8.  What’s your favorite summertime activity?

Swimming & walking, especially with my minions.

9.  What are writing projects are you currently working on?

As mentioned previous, I've started a story outside of my writing comfort zone. It's still in the romance/erotic genre, but it's a dystopian scifi.  I'm super nervous about branching out into this new for me area.  However, the story won't go away and the characters are pushing hard to have their stories told.  Which means that it's also looking like it will turn into a new series.   And, of course, I've got a the next novella and full length novel in The Falling Stars Series in the works as well.

Now, if I could just find more time in the day for me to get them all complete.
