Interview With Tara Lin Mossinghoff:
1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
Anytime anyone
asks what my stories are about, I reply "cheesy dramatic romances." I am
compelled to characters that have a tough time. My characters deal with
abuse, homelessness, death, drug abuse and everything in between. I
love the stories that will make readers think and maybe even cry, but I
love wrapping it all up with a happy ending. My newest release, The
Beauty of It, is no exception. Jackson and Peyton find each other and
their toughest times in life but they manage to get through with a bond
of friendship and love.
2. Using one sentence ca you describe, The Beauty of It?
"Life is about finding love when you've given up all hope."
3. What book has been your favorite to write?
I have around 15
books in various stages of completion so that is a nearly impossible
question. I think my most current WIP, Learning About Love, is my
favorite. I know Author Mommies are supposed to love all their babies
but this book seriously has my favorite cast of characters.
4. What inspires you to write?
Everything. I literally have a story that the initial inspiration were these bracelets I wore for a while.
5. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
My bed mainly, but I'll write where ever I can take my laptop.
6. If you could spend 24 hours as a fictional character, who would you chose?
Sirius Black. I would spend those 24 hours staring at a mirror and running my fingers through my glorious hair.
7. Do you work with an outline, or just write?
Just write. I might outline when I see the light at the end of the tunnel but generally I just write.
8. What's one random fact about yourself that you can share?
I am terrified of
needles. I usually pass out. So the fact that I have three tattoos and
only passed out on the first one is my biggest accomplishment.
9. What are you working on next?
Learning About
Love. It's about Caitlin, who just moved to town with her mom, and Wes,
who has a secret he's hiding from everyone. They meet and sparks
immediately fly. However, the readers quickly learn that Wes has a
sister with a drug problem. Caitlin is kept in the dark about this and
it causes tension in their romance when Wes has to cancel plans and make
up excuses as to why they can't hang out.
