If you haven't read a paranormal book, then The Dark Prince (Les Fees:the French Fae Legend) by Emma V.Leech is a good introduction into the Fae magic. She created two worlds that are different yet are connected. I was intrigued by how the two worlds and their characters interacted. By a book that Oceans wrote. The real Dark Prince is Laen and he is hurt,angry and unsure what to do with the young woman, Oceane. They are both more than they appear at first glance. This a story of love and trust and letting your past go. I enjoyed the story. It wasn't to dark and you get to meet interesting characters.

The Dark Prince was a completely unique take on the Faery story.  Leech drew a vivid world filled with wonderful characters.  I was left wondering, right up until the end, how the romance aspect would play out.  The storyline sucked me in right from the start and I am anxiously awaiting Corin’s book. 

Oceane’s character, while interesting, seemed a little wishy-washy to me at times.  I also wish we had seen more of Laen.  In my opinion, Corin really stole the show in this book.  Not necessarily a bad thing, as his role was crucial to the story development.  Still, seeing more of Laen as opposed to hearing about him would have added a bit to the story for me. 

On the whole, she really hit this one out of the park.  I went into this book skeptical that this would be somehow different from other tales of the Fae, I was pleasantly surprised.  And while it doesn’t have a cliffhanger in the traditional sense, Leech leaves the reader wanting more.  This story is far from over.

This was the first book I have ever read by this author and I can honestly say Emma Leech has gained a fan for life. Her writing is exceptionally intriguing I couldn’t get enough of the characters and the imaginative and captivating storyline. You can’t help but fall irrevocably in love with the Fae especially Prince Laen and Prince Corin who are ultimately the most passionate and desirable characters. The all-consuming love they express towards Oceane is breathtakingly beautiful. I love how each character draws you in with their heartbreaking story, you learn how they come to overcome their struggles and how they deal with the interference from the “real world”. This is definitely a series I will definitely continue reading this series, I am really glad I was able to review this book I highly recommend this book!

I just finished reading The Dark Prince by Emma V. Leech. I gave this book 4 stars because while I enjoyed the story it left some questions unanswered. I wanted to know how Oceane was able to make up Laen’s story and even Corin’s story. What made her special? Oceane and Laen’s meeting was anything but romantic, so her first impression of him is one of horror and fear. They manage to work through that with Corin’s help. Laen proves that he is capable of stepping up and loving Oceane the way she deserves. I did feel that Corin’s story kept trying to jump in and take over Oceane and Laen’s, but Emma managed to reign him back and give Oceane and Laen their story. I would recommend this story to anyone who likes to be drawn into another world.
