Swinging In Paradise

by
What do you get when you drop eleven sexy friends in the middle of the ocean on a pristine private beach with a seemingly endless supply of cocktails? The Crew, as they lovingly refer to themselves, is about to find out. The group has grown close over the years, both in, and out of "the lifestyle." After six months of drudgery since their last outing together, they are more than ready for their next great sexual adventure--The island of Beora West. After the initial buzz wears off, their curiosity gets the better of them and they set off to explore the island. What they find is nothing short of baffling, but there are some secrets even the untamed jungle around them can't hide. When one of them disappears, it becomes clear things are not what they seem. Who is behind the hidden agenda that brought them all to Beora West? What happened to their friend...and what dangers lie beyond the barricaded north shores? What the Crew finds is more than they bargained for, but what they lose may be too much to endure.

Vhamps

by
They say our twenties is the time in our lives when we truly discover ourselves. The problem is, J. has been an awkward twenty-five year old for nearly a century and still hasn't figured it out yet. When his 100th birthday rolls around, J. realizes that he has put so much of his life into denying his true nature, that he has somehow forgotten to live it along the way. So, J. sets out with renewed determination to finally be a part of the world he has so desperately been clinging to. But, when an attempt to be the hero and save the girl goes horribly awry, the botched attempt to save Angie’s life turns his world upside down, plunging him, his friends, and the girl of his dreams into a world none of them knew existed--A dangerous world full of ancient secrets, temptation, and blood. Instead of answers, all they find are more questions. Will J. figure out what it all means and who he really is in time to be the hero?

Could he finally get his wish for a "normal" human life, or was the monster J. had worked so hard to bury, even closer to the surface than he ever thought possible?

J.W. Snootz has been writing since elementary school, never learning to print as a child, and having to learn cursive writing inspired me to write a lot as a youth. Writing my first novella at only 10, and staying in the 100 page realm for a long time, finally creating more elaborate stories was possible. Growing up all over the Midwest and traveling extensively you will always find some truth in all the stories I write.
I feel the best stories should always include some parts of yourself, even if it is just in your characters or places they visit. Chicago has always been home, and the windy city certainly lends itself to the indoor activity of writing in the winter. In the warmer months you can find me with my family all of us out enjoying the beach along with the great experiences and culture the city offers.
I love to write in a variety of different genres and enjoy reading a lot of different story types as well. I also love to hear from and interact with the fans and other authors so always feel free to say hi and share your thoughts. "My motto is, if you don't like the truth then don't make it the truth!"

Interview with the Author of the Paradise Series and Vhamps Series J.W. Snootz:
  1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
I would call all of my books genre bending. They are intentionally written to incorporate many different facets from different genres. I hope that they mold into one hot, mysterious, thrilling, and thought provoking story you will remember for many moons.

  2. Using one sentence, can you describe Vhamps?
Vhamps for me is all about changing the way you think of Vampires, humans, and how they interact in different aspects of life.

  3. Using one sentence, can you describe
Swinging In Paradise? Swinging is the story of bringing the best of yourself to the table in order to be happy, while rejecting societies mold of what that is supposed to look like.

  4. Where did you get the ideas from?
My ideas come from all parts of life, travel, experiences, people, just my random thoughts, daily and lifelong struggles. I don’t remember my dreams, but I am sure some of them work into my books as well.

  5. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
My small perfectly clean and organized desk. The small size and contained area helps keep me focused and in the “zone” so to speak.

  6. Do you have any “odd” writing habits?
Orange tic tacs, and maybe writing much of the story in my head. I rarely end up with more than a single large post it note full of notes. I also tend to write multiple books at once.

  7. When did you know you wanted to write a book?
Always, as a child I loved to write, growing up poor and with a thirst for knowledge, books were always free at the library. I learned to write at a young age and have always written many stories just not for public view.

  8. What's your favorite activity to do when you're not writing?
I enjoy spending time with my family, my wife and six boys take up a lot of my time. When we aren’t together I also play golf and try to hit the gym.

  9. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
Currently I am working on book 2 of the Paradise Series, Staying in Paradise. I am also working on a couple of short stories, and another Prequel in the Paradise series, plus a couple other larger projects that will take me years to finish. I am also writing book 2 of Vhamps in my head.
