"Good girls ask for permission, bad girls ask for forgiveness." -unknown
Cheyenne is the ultimate bad girl, and she makes no apologies. She's been in and out of so many foster homes she lost count. Nowadays she lives on the streets, and has been for a solid year. On her eighteenth birthday she happens upon a womens MMA gym.
Cash is the son of the owner. He becomes Cheyanne's trainer, determined to make her one of the best fighters. While Cheyenne fights her inner demons, Cash fights his attraction to her. It's strictly prohibited to fraternize with fighters, even if you are the boss's son.
Cheyanne has a life she's always wanted, and on her terms. She wants nothing more than to feel loved, wanted and to be belong somewhere. She too fights the attraction knowing a lot is at stake if they follow through.
What will happen if they take things too far? Will Cheyenne's career be over before it gets started? Or will she fight to have it all?
Review by Tabitha:
First off let me say I love this author. I have read her Unspoken Truth series and loved them so much. So when Renea asked me to read and review this one, I jumped at the chance. I am not normally a huge fan of NA books, but this one really grabbed my attention from the very first page. I love Cheyenne and felt like while she was only 18, she is much more mature than anyone her age. She has been homeless for the past year and is the epitome of a fighter. She stumbles upon Cash and the gym he trains MMA fighters. Immediately you feel the electricity between them and know there is what promises to be an amazing relationship. I was very happy with how the author developed these characters and had them face a few challenges that are very real. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because I really wanted to have a glimpse into their world. An epilogue or something. However, Renea says she left it the way she did for a reason. Who am I to argue with the brilliant Ms. Porter?? So, that being said this book is really a great book and is definitely worth the money to read.
