Release Day with Review of Wicked Shadows by AD Justice

BLURB:
Devon “Shadow” Kane chose a life of anonymity the moment he entered the clandestine world of the CIA. His training made him a killer, a skill he has no qualms using.

Elle Sinclair, the younger sister of his childhood friend, is far from the girl next door. She’ll be the next big star. She’s also the one he can’t have. The blinding lights of flash bulbs in her celebrity world contradict the stealth and invisibility required in his.

Then she’s gone.

Disappeared, without a word or a trace.

A desperate plea for help from her brother tests Shadow’s undercover skills.

The stakes are high, and Shadow will risk everything for her. The only two constants in the equation are the threat of blowing his cover and the probability he won’t reach her in time.

With peril at every turn, can Shadow and Elle both survive?

Or will the Wicked Shadows surrounding them ultimately cause their demise?

REVIEW BY TABITHA:
First off, I want to say that The Steele Security series has been one of my all time favorite series. Whenever anyone asks me for a book recommendation this is the series that always pops first in my mind, ALWAYS!! I have both been impatiently waiting and dreading this book. Impatiently waiting I know you get, but why did I dread it? Well, because it is the last book in this series and I wasn't and if I'm truthful am still not ready for it to end. I have told Ms. Justice explicitly that this series must go on forever. I mean surely they will want to get in some trouble somewhere down the line right?

Now, on to this book. I don't know that I have ever really had trouble with how to write a review of a book before. Usually the words just come to mind immediately and BOOM there's the review. With this one however, I have pondered on it, thought and thought about it for days and days and still I don't know how to put into words just how wonderful this book really is. Each book in this series is amazing as I have previously stated but this one, this one is beyond amazing, beyond what I could have even imagined it to be. To say it blew me away is doing it a disservice because it did so much more than that. I beta read this one and as a beta reader I am so critical about every little thing. As I was reading this I kept thinking to myself, oh I don't know about this, even voiced it to the author, but in the end how she wrote it couldn't have been more right. Shadow was that character throughout the other books that I always wondered what exactly his story would be like. I imagined quite a few things, but it was nothing like I imagined it. It really was so much more. I have loved all these characters. I am invested in these characters. In fact, I have always said that there was no way I could love a book more than I did with Noah (Wicked Games) and Bull (Wicked Ties) however I was so very wrong. Shadow's book implanted itself in the forefront of my heart. This book is unlike the others. This one made me feel different things. Now, let me be clear here, that does not mean that I love the other books any less. It just means that this one was very unexpected. I have learned with this author to always expect the unexpected because she always keeps you on your toes. This book is the only book in this series that CAN BE read as a STANDALONE, however I do believe you will enjoy it so much more by reading the others. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this book, this series, this author. She makes the characters come to life. Makes you feel and I mean really FEEL what the characters do. And I guarantee will leave a life long impression on you.
