I absolute loved this story. I loved it from beginning to end. I wasn't the big fan of the prologue but after I finished reading the story, I went back and read the prologue and it made more sense. It's told in the dual POV of Aidan and Essie. I liked the dual POV because it gave me a chance to better know the characters.
Essie and her brother Vaughn are all each of have. They don't have much money but they make things work. They have a really awesome brother sister relationship.
Aidan gave up the chance to work in the corporate world working for the family business. Instead he likes to enjoy life and surf. He doesn't have a great relationship with his brother Alex. He even refuses Alex's request that he come home and help with the family business.
Both Aidan and Essie receive some crazy life altering news. I'm not a person who usually cries when reading books but with this one I got a little more teary eyed then I would have liked. Both deal with the news differently and it shapes the path they take in life and kept me wanting to know what would happen next. Essie has been planning for years what to do when they meet so when their paths cross I didn't know what would happen. I can't wait to read more of Essie and Aidan.
