About Lilly Avalon:

Lilly Avalon is the author of the RESIST series as well as other romances. She's somewhere in the midst of her twenties and lives mostly in the stories in her head. When she's not enveloped in the worlds she creates, she's out in the real world making stories happen. That or reading other romances. It's a toss-up.

 Interview With Lilly Avalon:

Can you tell us a little about your books
?

My books are all over the place! Here All Along was my first and it's about roommates/best friends turned lovers. Resist--and its sequel, Longing--are about a girl looking for a one-night stand and she hooks up with her boss's nephew. More Than Words is about a writer who gets asked to write erotica. She doesn't have experience writing sex scenes so she turns to a male writer friend to give her "sex position lessons" and they become tempted for more. Unexpected is about a girl having a very bad day who ends up befriending her ex-best friend's ex-boyfriend (say that three times fast) and their friendship grows into something more.

Which book has been your favorite to write
?

I'd say it has to be More Than Words. I wrote it in 12 days, and it all just flowed out. I fell for the characters hard and even when I pick it up now, I still chuckle at how cheeky they are.

Do you have a favorite character to write about
?

Oh, I loved writing Allegra from the Resist series. There's a lot of me in her, but there are some aspects to her that are much different--more bold, more ridiculous. She can be very professional, and yet she's extremely unprofessional at other times. I loved how fun she can be!

Do you have a favorite spot to write
?

I usually write while sitting on my bed, probably because it's the only place I can concentrate and won't get distracted.

Do you have any “odd” writing habits
?

Not particularly. I'm kind of a mood writer--sometimes I need music and sometimes I don't, sometimes I snack on something or sometimes I don't. I just make sure I have a couple of books handy (thesauruses) and any notes I've written down and I'm good to go!

Do you listen to music while you write
?

Sometimes. Like I said above, it's a mood thing. When I'm writing certain scenes, I need something on in the background to keep the inspiration flowing. Then with other scenes, music is too distracting and I can't focus. When I do listen to music, I try to stick with a certain playlist with non-distracting songs. One artist I *love* listening to is Ellie Goulding. If I put her music on, I can usually breeze through my writing.

What's one random fact about yourself that you can share
?

I love dancing! It's something I don't get the chance to do much, aside from random dancing at home, but I love to go out and dance at a club and I try to do it as much as possible.

Are you attending any author signing event this year
?

Not this year, but I'm going to be at the Glass City Author Event in Toledo next year in October. Unless I sign on for any others, this will be my very first event as an author and I'm super excited!

What are writing projects are you currently working on

?
I've got two going on right now. One is an erotic romance with a dirty talking hero (a stepbrother romance, actually), and the other is a second chance romance in a small town. The third book in the Resist series has been trying to weasel its way in, but I don't think I can handle three stories at once!
